Sometimes you just need to have the right tools for the job. Last week while onsite with a customer we were asked to troubleshoot a problem where a remote CCTV display stopped working. The CCTV system is the old style with coax cable / BNC type connections. Luckily we had a tool onboard that allows us to troubleshoot the issue properly and we were able to confirm the issue was with the CCTV recorder output and not the CCTV display. The customer has now asked us to replace the old CCTV with a new IP based system.

This week we performed a multi hop point to point wireless link to connect up a remote office to the customers main office to allow them to access the fibre internet connection as the remote office was suffering with a very poor ADSL connection. We used Ubiquiti nanobeams. All hardware was configured and tested to minimise onsite installation. Installation took less than a day and The customer now enjoys high speed internet speeds as seen in our speed test video. One happy customer.

Small job for one of our long standing customers who decided to downsize and move to a new small office. The customer required a decent broadband connection which we organised with the help of a local company Gradwell Communications in Bath. The customer also asked us if we could migrate them from an old phone system that was costing them way to much money to one of our 3CX cloud based system that is far cheaper and much more flexible again we used Gradwell Communications for the SIP Trunks. In the office we install a new data cabinet with a patch panel, a UniFi network and a 3CX telephone system with several Yealink desk phones and mobile extensions so employees can take business calls while they are out of the office. All tested before handing it over to the customer. The next job will be to install some smart security cameras so that the owners can check the building when they are away from the office. Today we are setting up hardware for a customer which consists of a new UniFi network and Hikvision CCTV system for a large house and two separate outbuildings. The two outbuilding will be connected to the house using a wireless bridge to allow both network and CCTV connectivity. Its a medium size job due to the size of the house so lots of cabeling to be done. We will post up further photos of the installation over the next few days.

This week we performed a network upgrade for one of our small business clients. Almost all the existing network hardware was replaced with Ubiquiti UniFi hardware. We extended the existing network to a new office in another part of the building where we installed a new data cabinet and associated Ubiquiti network hardware. We also installed additional wireless access points to extended the existing wireless network so staff could take orders and payments using iPad's and card machines in the cafe's outdoor area.

We also setup separate wireless networks for the employees and visiting customers devices which were firewalled off from the companies private network.

The whole installation process took around two days and the customer now enjoys a much more reliable, secure and seamless network experience across the business. The next step for this customer is for us to upgrade the very slow landline broadband connection to a much faster 4G service.
