Baffled sometimes why strip and cleans are sometimes overcharged ?!? Literally takes me an extra 15 minutes to pull Burner out wash through heat exchanger and replace a seal. I don't even charge any extra labour on a service. I got an hour and normally this can be done within that time frame. All I charge is the additional gasket. This one is on a vailiant that needs to be done within a 5 year period. If you have never had a strip and clean you should question why. Forget this self cleaning burner rubbish from certain manufacturers, unless you are running at low temperatures, the heat exchanger will build up a layer of debris which will effect its efficiency over the course of time

Well Happy with this bit of kit from grundfos! Alpha go pump, fits 90% of boilers, uses an app to replicate old pump unit to give correct flow rates and control and is a hell of a lot cheaper sometimes than the manufactures listed spare, that to be fair is normally grundfos anyway with a name stamped on it 😂

Signing off another one today! Used some paneling to tidy up the existing wall as old flue was a natural draught square monster! Old boiler had been in there around 30 years plus, so big upgrade to low temperature heating with weather compensation control with remote monitoring for potential faults. 12 year warranty as per Viessmann standard.
Only brand I really trust!

Just finished installation of viessmann system boiler! Customer been waiting a long time for overhaul of old appliance, which had multiple boiler and system defects.
Full powerflush and removed header tank converted to sealed system, with priority hot water and weather comp app based control. Chinned the crappy hive stat off as now redundant.
System protection via filter and de aerotor to remove micro bubbles.
Outside temp tonight 10 degrees so system running at a flow temp of 42'C due to older rads still on system. Customer will update probably at a later stage to potentially run at even lower temperatures to improve running efficiency, however at the end of the day as long as we can get return temp below 50'C we will always be getting an energy uplift of around 2kw free energy from the boiler condensing.
12 year warranty via viessmann.
Been a struggle with a torn calf muscle still, but I love what I do! 😂

Just a quick message to wish all my customers a merry Christmas and a happy new year!
Really appreciate your custom and patience with the business throughout this year, it's been challenging but also rewarding to see the business grow the way it has.
Apologies if I can't get to anyone over the holiday period, unfortunately the works van went pop just before Christmas and is in the garage for major engine repairs which has left me vanless until the 7th of January!!!! Complete nightmare as it's made me very anxious that I am unable to help anyone at this critical time, just typical! Been a mad year and personally we are looking now into the new year with a change of luck, last few weeks as been like work on " hard mode"!
Once again thank you all and wish all of you a lovely festive break from the madness of life!

It's the a positive outcome one we strive for, that in my mind is golden, to put this job into context customer had some problems getting a repair done under boiler warranty, I won't name manufacturers but basically had to jump through some serious hoops to get this repair sorted, manufacturer wanted a bespoke frame making to repair appliance, multiple visits back and forward for myself, flushed system, made system alterations, attended joint visit with manufacturer technician as customer lost all faith. I basically had to be the middle man, but it's resolved!
Yes it was time lost, but they are on our books, and our philosophy is if you look after your good customers they look after you.

Just a quick post to say any services that are required will now need to be booked for January onwards as our diary is almost fully booked up to the Christmas break.

We will be closing for Christmas on the 23rd December and returning on 5 January 2026.

Any breakdown in between now and Christmas we will do our best to fit you in, please email on [email protected] rather than phone as Logan is unable to answer the phone when working.

Any emergency heating issues over the Christmas period please do email and we will do our best to help.

3 year old boiler flue in loft! Mad thing is the boiler passed all the safety checks and performance checks at the boiler were perfectly fine, it was only because I noticed the stain on the ceiling and climbed into the loft to check flue route I noticed the absolute state of it!!!
Booking in for Saturday morning as it's for a good customer of mine and my availability is getting tight.....
hopefully I might survive winter 😎ðŸĪŠðŸ˜‚
