Dealing with Divorce

Dealing with Divorce Leaving an abusive, controlling or manipulative relationship? Need to save money on legal fees?

Former solicitor helping litigants in person in England and Wales with difficult divorces and court proceedings. If you have a narcissistic ex you will not have a 'normal' divorce and specialist advice is recommended in order to avoid wasting a lot of time and money. I can help you to make a plan and strategy for the challenges ahead. I offer affordable legal help with paperwork (letters to ex's s

olicitor, forms and statements for court, divorce petition etc) which clients sign and send themselves, meaning they stay in complete control of their case. If they have to attend court I arrange a direct access barrister to represent them if they can afford one, or a McKenzie Friend to help them if they can’t. Please make a free enquiry by sending an email to diana@dealingwithdivorce to see if I can help you.

Can anyone help with a child therapist recommendation in Cardiff for one of my clients please? She needs a play therapist for her youngest and a therapist for the older child, preferably one who understands the difficulties with a narcissistic father who has a golden child and a scapegoat.

Those of you who have had residence transferred, or are failing to properly protect your child/ren for fear of it, may wish to write to TBI. https://www.thebureauinvestigates.com/stories/2023-07-06/family-court-files-parental-alienation-used-to-silence-claims-of-abuse I don't know how widely read this is, but all publicity is good publicity when it comes to righting the dreadful wrongs of the family court. So if you are able to it would be good to let them know your experiences in the hope they will publish more.

It's a fine line to tread ...

A new study in Wales of children involved in court proceedings has found that they are more likely than their peers to be anxious or depressed, although the study didn’t look at whether they may just have been adversely affected by the separation of their parents rather than the court proceedings....

I dipped in to some of the Johnny Depp v Amber Heard libel trial and I have seen lots of comments about it, mainly on social media. And I’ve been shocked by how seemingly everyone is so firmly either on one side or the other – though mainly on the side of JD. Personally I’m […]

Surely not? Or do they ....

Litigants in person often complain to me about barristers lying to the court. They draft position statements full of lies and then after the hearing they draft court orders saying things were agreed or ordered when they weren’t. Let’s get this straight from the outset: barristers are not allowed...

We were all horrified when five people, including a child, were shot dead in Plymouth last August – this is the UK, not the US, and we don’t do mass shootings here. At least, not too often. The police are supposed to police gun licences but they don’t have time to do this properly and […]

Are you upset about Partygate? Personally I don’t understand why people who voted for a narcissist are so upset because he’s behaving like one. And since Boris has been caught out, many are mystified as to why he won’t step down like any ‘normal’ person would. They saw the fight Trump put ...

A narcissistic parent will usually make one child a scapegoat and another the golden child to 'divide and conquer' and control them.

Variations on a theme, but always about control and power.

This is what's happening in the US. Even worse than what happens in our family courts but what happens there usually comes across the pond to us sooner or later. I still prefer to think our judges could be tamed by education and that the problem is not 'horrible mother-hating attitudes' although in some cases it certainly seems to be.

It’s time to say the obvious truth straight up. No pretty ribbons, no proving how “reasonable” I am by sugar-coating the harsh reality of what’s actually happening. Here it is: The family court system across the continent has become the moral equivalent of a slave trade. Mothers and children...
