The milking ends here. We saved the outside for last, and the outside made us work for it.

This is where you park. Before, it was the sort of ground a location scout would rent out to film something with a low survival rate. Cracked tarmac, weeds with ambitions, the general air of a place things go to end rather than begin.

Room by room was the promise, and we’re not quite through it yet: The Study, reception, the stairway, and – yes – the WC.

The Study is the quiet room for work that needs one. Reception is where first impressions get made. The stairway got more attention than a stairway strictly needs. And the WC is the detail that tells you we didn’t cut corners anywhere.

Betterment Properties regualry hold a full site contractor meeting a, and yesterday The Granby Exchange hosted it for the first time.

By all accounts it went well. Every trade in one room, no hi-vis required (a few kept it on out of habit), and not one interruption from a delivery or a skip lorry.

It went so well, in fact, that nobody remembered to take a single photo. So here's the room where it all happened instead, and you'll just have to take our word for the rest.

Cracking morning with a proper team. Thanks to Betterment for trusting us with it, the door's open whenever the next one rolls around.

Desks by the day, rooms by the hour, and the Boardroom now does evenings. 6:30 to 9pm, £75, or £30 an hour. For the clubs, the committees, and whatever you’re building after the day job.

Memberships are capped at six people. When one leaves, one joins. We didn’t invent scarcity, but we do respect a queue.

The kitchen table was never meant to be an office. Neither was the sofa, or the corner of the café that charges rent in flat whites.

So we built the third option.

The Granby Exchange opens on Monday 6th July, right here on the Granby in Weymouth. Before we open properly, we’d like you to come and have a look round. Proper desks, proper coffee, and room to actually get things done. Have a wander, see the space, tell us what you reckon.

Two drop-in sessions, come and go as you please:

First session, 4.30 to 6.00pm
Second session, 6.30 to 8.00pm

Drinks and snacks on us. Everyone welcome, no need to book.
