Update on timber supplies.
Due to a national shortage of supplies of the timber we use to manufacture our sheds, we are temporarily not taking any new orders or giving prices. This is so we can concentrate on getting out existing orders.
The timber we use is high quality redwood pine. This is sourced from northern Europe, and therefore imports have been severely disrupted by the pandemic.
Although lower grade timber is available, we do not want to reduce our standards to supply demand, but we fully understand any customers who are desperate for a shed looking elsewhere.
As this is a national problem, please be advised that it is affecting everyone. We have had customers cancel orders only to face lengthy waiting times elsewhere.
We are taking steps to mitigate the uncertainty in supplies by extending our storage capacity, meaning we can purchase more stock when it is available and hopefully balance out the shortages.
We will start taking orders again as soon as we can give a closer prediction of waiting times for sheds.
