📢 SMART Flexible Innovation Support (SFIS) - Capital Equipment Fund

The fund is offering grants of between £50,000 and £250,000 to support Welsh businesses investing in capital equipment that will help increase productivity and efficiency.

Funding is available at 50% of eligible project costs, meaning projects must have a minimum spend of £100,000.

The fund is also looking to support projects that contribute to the circular economy, including improving resource efficiency, increasing the use of recycled materials and creating greater value from existing resources and assets.

📅 Application deadline: 25 September 2026
📣 Awards announced: w/c 26 October 2026

📢 Capital grants of up to £4,999 available for Mid Wales businesses

The Growing Mid Wales LoRaWAN Stimulation Project is offering capital grants to eligible businesses in Ceredigion and Powys.

🧑‍💼 Who can apply? Businesses with fewer than 250 employees.

💻 What is the grant for? To help businesses explore and adopt new digital technologies that can: improve efficiency, reduce costs and support business growth

💷 How does the funding work?
The grant is paid retrospectively. Businesses must apply and receive approval before purchasing any equipment. Once approved equipment has been purchased and installed, eligible costs will be reimbursed by Growing Mid Wales.
