Not all CVs are the same. The CV you used when you first graduated looks a lot different to the one you’re using now – or at least it should.
Director and C Level CVs are the same, in that they are very different to other CVs due to different assessment criteria. When companies are looking to fill for Director and C Level roles they are looking at a wide variety of skills and achievements through recent career, not just responsibilities held.
- Only 10-15 years of most recent experience is shown, as previous history can be provided upon request
- Key skills and competencies are the main feature, so these should be detailed in the first half of the CV according to the job description
- Achievements and evidence to quantify this through the career history proves the expertise gained and imparted
- Education and Personal Development details are shown at the end
If you're looking to spruce up your CV to make the move to a new Director or C Level role, our Career Coaching and CV Consultation services can support you to make that next step.
