This week (26th October) I’ve mostly been:
Enjoying half-term and having a few days off with the family 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦
- Starting with an afternoon of swimming at Waves
- Followed by Race Across the World: The Experience in Manchester
- Enjoying being at the edge of our seat with The Traitors UK
- Eating delicious Halloween treats at Dil and the Bear - at the Station
- Finishing with a movie night at the cinema 👻

I also:
👟 Discussed Shoe Dog by Phil Knight with the BIG ideas for small businesses book group
💡 Talked creativity with Tennick Accountants
📻 Met with Frisk Radio to discuss competitions and advertising
🌿 Shared ideas on business cards and logos with Branching Out NCL
🎉 Began planning my own New Year marketing campaign

We did manage to:
🤔 Start research and design for a new customer logo
📚 Create the new Bay Tales leaflets
🍕 Produce price lists for Whitley Bay Pizza Co
💐 Print a new order of stickers for Philippas Flowers
🖼 Run art prints for Corarima
🎅 Start celebrating Christmas by printing Meander Gifts' posters & leaflets
..and now, I am visiting family and getting ready to go out trick or treating later. Happy Halloween everyone! 🎃

As usual, we are closed today (Monday) but we are extending our weekend for a short break and closing Tuesday too.

This week (19th October) I’ve mostly been:
- Creating a design catalogue for my website
- Planning the Whitley Bay Chamber of Trade Late Night Shopping event with the rest of the committee
- Critiquing my new website with the BIG ideas for small businesses
- Writing about hidden messages in printed communication
- Enjoying a boys' breakfast at the Flower Cafe Whitley Bay (I may have sneaked another at Room 305 too! 😋)

We did manage to:

📷 Create a selfie frame for a birthday celebration
🥗 Print Menus and Strut Cards for an Eat Clean event
🏎 Run business cards and leaflets for Precision Ceramics
🍻 Run A1 posters for Three Brass Monkeys Whitley Bay
🌸 Print menus for the Flower Cafe
..and now, I am heading along to the Living North Christmas Fair to start the Christmas shopping! Enjoy your weekend everyone!

As we head into half term, check school bags if you have a pupil at Whitley Bay High School, Monkseaton Coastal School or Cullercoats Primary School.

The fantastic team at eatclean.uk have again chosen 3 local schools to provide FREE meal vouchers for kids. Absolutely no catch; just providing hot meals over the holiday and introducing healthier options to children in the community. All they ask is that children are accompanied by an adult (no requirement to buy anything) in case of any allergens.

I play my very small part by printing the vouchers for free but they do this every holiday and ask for nothing in return so I am giving them a shout out! 🙌

Coordinated by the volunteer Commitee of the Whitley Bay Chamber of Trade, the Late Night Shopping evenings will take place on Thursday 26th & Friday 27th November.

Soak up the fantastic community atmosphere right here in the heart of Whitley Bay. The late night evenings are the perfect opportunity to purchase your Christmas gifts, buy festive treats, dine out in one of the fabulous local restaurants or meet with friends for a Christmas drink. Shopping local, supporting local.

On the day we highlight Show Racism the Red Card, I want to give a shout out to these fabulous young gentlemen who I have sponsored at Whitley Bay FC Juniors.

I am always so impressed how they play with passion but with the upmost respect for their opponents, instilled by great parents and coaches.

I was saddened to hear from the Club Secretary this week, the extend of the racism that some of the young teams and refs still endure. It is not acceptable.

Do you want to train to teach? Applications are now open for Great North SCITT.

Previously North Tyneside SCITT and North East Partnership SCITT, it was a great pleasure to work with the team on their rebranding before the summer.

After market research, I was able to provide a suite of logo proposals which was then narrowed down and refined. I could then supply the logos in a range of file types to use across platforms, as well as a style guide to highlight usage.

It was important that the branding could be woven through all aspects of the provision and carry a clear message... be great!

The range of new marketing material is now out in the real world communicating the brand and shouting about this high quality teacher training provision.
