We were delighted to be Highly Commended in the Medium to Large Business of the Year category at the Wigan Borough Business Awards.

As an employee-owned business that has grown to become one of the largest employers in the borough, it's great to see that journey recognised by the local business community.

We're delighted to have been named a finalist in the Wigan Borough Business Awards 2026.

It was great to join fellow finalists this week at the Finalists Reception and celebrate the incredible businesses and people making a real difference.

As well as being recognised in the Wigan Borough Business Awards Hall of Recognition, Interact Contact Centres is delighted to be named finalists in the Medium to Large Business of the Year category.

As one of the largest employers in the borough, and an employee-owned business, we're incredibly proud of our team. This recognition reflects the difference they make every day through the service they deliver for our clients, the support they give each other, and the positive impact they have in our local community.

𝐌𝐚𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚 𝐃𝐢𝐟𝐟𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐓𝐨𝐠𝐞𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫 💚🐧

This year, our UK team chose Refuge as one of our main charity partners, recognising the incredible work they do supporting those affected by domestic abuse.

In South Africa, we're proud to support Zanethemba Charity Foundation, a charity close to the hearts of our Port Elizabeth team. Throughout the year, our team has volunteered their time, helping to maintain the charity's facilities and support its important work with young children.

We're also proud to support Wigan Youth Zone as Gold Patrons, The Poppy Factory Charity, which is home to our Richmond team, and our wider community work with Wigan Council. From raffles and charity football matches to volunteer days, our people have thrown themselves into supporting these incredible causes.

And of course, no update would be complete without mentioning our adopted penguin, Batmann, who has become something of an Interact Contact Centres mascot and a reminder that even small actions can help support important conservation work.

Some of Interact Contact Centres senior team took to the skies… well, the contact centre… to celebrate our amazing real-life heroes.

A huge well done to everyone recognised. Your dedication, commitment and positive impact haven’t gone unnoticed. We’re incredibly grateful for everything you do and proud to make sure you get the recognition you deserve.

Our ‘Interact Hero’ awards are all about celebrating those who go the extra mile. It’s great to see them taking flight again across our teams, recognising the difference our people make for their peers, customers and the wider community, delivering great CX every day.

Some of the Interact Contact Centres Learning & Development team have been out and about this week, getting the latest insights from Learning Technologies Expo.

It was also brilliant to speak to so many people from all across Europe who share the same passion we do, making sure learning is inclusive and genuinely helps people grow in their roles.

Beyond the headlines around AI, much of the focus turned to learning experience, skills impact and how organisations show real outcomes rather than just activity. At Interact, learning is built around people first, but it was inspiring to see how innovative technologies, including robots and virtual reality, are being used to support different learning styles and everyday application.
