Last Saturday morning we welcomed parents of the children who will join us next term. They had the opportunity to look round each room inside the unit and explore the outside areas including the cabin. We really enjoyed showing off our beautiful little nursery because who couldn't love such an exciting and colourful place?? 😊

It's always fun to play with texture and colour. During May the children used chalk to draw patterns on the floor outside. They continued enjoying the sandpit and playing well together. They also explored Oobleck (a mixture of cornflour, cocoa powder and water that is sometimes a liquid and sometimes a solid) to learn about texture and senses.

Last month the Toddlers painted their own plant pots and this month they planted their very own sunflowers 🌻 They use their gross motor skills to scoop some soil into the pots using garden tools then carefully placed their delicate little sunflower seed into the soil. Finally they used a watering can to water the seed and help it grow. We can't wait to see how they turn out!
