Quickline x Girl Tech, Leeds 💜

We were thrilled to be part of an inspiring event hosted by Ahead Partnership to engage with the next generation of talent via multiple schools.

Our team was busy on two fronts - delivering four hands-on STEM workshops to groups of girls aged 10-12, sparking curiosity and showing what's possible in the world of engineering and beyond.

We also held down our own careers stall, chatting with students about the amazing work we do and the exciting career paths that could be waiting for them after school ⚡

Every Monday for almost a year, something important has been happening at Thornton Lodge Community Centre 💜

Through our funding, Thornton Lodge Action Group now run weekly digital skills sessions for the community.

Each week, community members come through the door for hands-on help with the digital basics that many of us take for granted, such as booking a GP appointment on the NHS app, shopping online or staying connected with family.

For people in this community, these sessions aren't just convenient. They're essential. Access to digital skills and equipment can change everything - from managing your health, to finding work, or simply feeling less isolated.

This is what connectivity really looks like. And we're proud to be part of it 💜

📱 50 tablets donated to Cash for Kids, supporting vulnerable children identified through local schools and community groups

🌐 30 tablets to Community VISION, helping voluntary organisations build digital skills across East Riding and North Lincolnshire

💼 Support for Sheffield Futures in South Yorkshire, helping young people into employment

🏡 Tablets for community centres and village halls in Bedale and Helperby

Being rural shouldn't mean being forgotten.

For years, Colin & Rachel Walker in Willitoft had broadband so slow it couldn't load a webpage. Their old provider told them it wasn't on the roadmap.

We disagreed - and connected them to our full fibre ⚡

The future of engineering in one classroom ⚡

80 Year 5/6 pupils spent the day getting hands-on with real engineering kit. Fibre demos, splicing demonstrations, toolbox talks next to a Quickline van - the works.

Engineer Katie is a former pupil at Skirlaugh herself. She sat in the same classrooms. And last week, she came back as a qualified fibre engineer to inspire the next generation.
