One of the benefits of being a Virtual Assistant is that I can work with clients anywhere in the country whilst based in my home town of Eastbourne (which I love!) This year has given me a new appreciation for small businesses in this area (not least because I now understand how much work is involved in setting one up!).
So I thought that today I would share some of the local businesses I have got to know over the last few years. They are all quite different types of business to mine, but they all share three things – friendliness, good communication and great service – which I hope to be able emulate in mine.
Happyjacks Soft Play - gym play sessions and soft play hire for under 5s. My older daughter loved Happyjacks and I can’t wait to introduce my youngest to their classes. They are offering soft play home delivery hire packages which are perfect for lockdown birthdays
Hartbeeps Eastbourne – another one aimed at young families, Hartbeeps provides magical, musical sensory classes for babies and young children. They have worked hard to offer safe classes during Covid, without losing any of the magic and sparkles
Mayflower Bakes – offer weekly sweet treat delivery rounds to Eastbourne and surrounding areas. Their brownies are amazing!
Milly Roberts - Women's Health & Fitness -Millie offers one-to-one and group health & fitness sessions concentrating on areas such as core and pelvic floor strength. She also offers sports massage and pregnancy massage. She’s very friendly and supportive.
Old Town Community Library – an independent charity run by volunteers, which is a really important part of our local community. As well as books they provide laptops, printing and private hire.
Eastbourne Chamber of Commerce has just set up a website for small and micro businesses so do take a look if, like me, you're keen to shop local this Christmas: https://www.madeineastbourne.co.uk/index.php
A directory for small and micro businesses, crafters, makers and creators to list Eastbourne goods and services.
