Can't believe it's been nine years since I joined McCann Manchester permanently!!!
I love working in our little proofreading team, (but I do think I'm a bit too much of a perfectionist for them sometimes tbh😄🙃).
Since COVID I’ve been working from home which has been a complete life-changer in work-life balance terms🥰
Having a dog makes you stop for a proper break at lunchtime, but my 'work' doesn't stop there, as I am now also able volunteer for a community service too!
I helped set up Chapel Lane's 'Love the Lane' (a local Facebook group) BAG IT & BIN IT (BIBI) Campaign to put an end to all the dog dirt issues we had around Wilmslow along our beautiful Cheshire country lanes.
With a few strategically placed volunteer bins and some home-made poo bag dispensers the area has become so much cleaner and tidier - there are always a few rogue dog walkers who don't care, sadly, but we’ve made a massive difference☺️
So, now, during my lunch hour dog walks I have the delightful duty of checking and changing our bins and carrying the previously offending 'articles' to the nearest Council bin💪🏼 🚮
Well, what else would I want to do🤷🏼♀️🤪😆
So, that's the life of a WFH Proofreader!
