Good news this week as Watkin Jones finally secure planning consent for conversion of the Headrow House office building in Leeds city centre for a 230 unit co-living scheme. Focus TP delivered the supporting highways documentation and worked with the Council on parking and servicing matters.

Another scheme for Anwyl, 135 dwellings at New Brighton near Mold. All affordable too.

Focus TP designed the site access points and have prepared the TA, TP and TIS reports, to support the PAC process.

A pre-application consultation for the affordable Flintshire scheme was launched on Friday and will run for 25 days.

Good to see that planning consent has been secured for 74 dwellings in Maghull. Focus TP have been involved in this scheme since 2019, initially with Redrow and more recently when it moved to Castle Green.

It was originally a Covid project for us and an early baptism in getting used to MS Teams and collaborative on-line working. The industry has certainly taken this new way of getting things done in its stride.

Good to see that Anwyl Homes’ latest site at Parc Bodofan is up and running, with the first show home ready to view next weekend. Focus TP were part of the team that delivered succesful planning consent for 49 dwellings at the site. It was a challenging process, undertaken right through the core Covid period, requiring liaison with the LHA and the adjacent SEND school in order to deliver a suitable access scheme and internal site layout.

Life moves on and there will soon be a small new community at the site - in a great location close to the beach and within a short walk of a wide range of local shops and services.

Focus TP are pleased to be part of the team that recently secured planning consent for the conversion of a Grade II Listed Church in Dukinfield, Greater Manchester to a mix of 12 1bed/2bed apartments, plus 6 new ‘almshouse’ style cottages.

Focus TP provided design support re: accesss, internal road layout and parking / servicing on this challenging hillside site, as well as preparing the supporting Transport Statement.

Focus Transport Planning are delighted to have been part of the team that delivered succesful planning resolution for Birmingham city centre’s first co-living development. The project involves the re-generation of former College buildings at Newhall Street, to deliver 152 co-living studio apartments and ancillary facilities including cinema & podcast rooms, workspaces, social lounges, dining rooms, gym, laundry, games room and outdoor terraces / entertaining area. The scheme is also supported by a basement cycle store, providing 167 resident & visitor cycle spaces.

Focus TP prepared the Transport Statement & Travel Plan for the scheme, as well as proving traffic input to noise & AQ assessments. A very satisfying result.

It’s a hat-trick! Three major scheme approvals at the start of 2024 for Focus TP supported projects - the fruits of a very busy 2023.

Russell LDP have secured consent for an additional 430,000 sq ft of Use Class B8 floor space at H-Park, South Heywood - increasing the employment element of the wider mixed use scheme to almost 2 million sqft. This is a scheme that Focus TP have been involved for many years and it’s been fantastic to see it begin to take shape.

We prepared the TA, transport docs for BREEAM credits and updates to relevant ES sections.

HPARK, one of the North West's prime manufacturing and logistics development opportunities, has increased to almost two million sq ft of space.
