🎄 Some of our team visited CAFTcharity earlier this week as part of our Employee Volunteering Scheme and had a fantastic time providing festive entertainment to the children supported by the charity!

Our team consisted of some first time volunteers and all came back wanting to put their names forward for the next visit... 🎁

🧑‍🎄 Rhia, HR Advisor at S&G said: “Each child who visited had a unique experience and could just be themselves without fear of being judged. It’s a magical place and I would love to volunteer again.”

We're grateful to work with such an incredible charity, especially during the festive season, and look forward to continuing our partnership next year 💛

🚗💨 And they’re off!

Our very own Rod Maher, Julian Blumber and Paul Chance (a.k.a. Noddy, Big Ears and Mr Plod!) have set off on the Wales to Cotswolds Rally in their specially themed Noddy Car.

The team are supporting Rapid Repair Network and their chosen charity – Estuary League of Friends.

The rally is all about creativity and charity, with teams driving sub-£1,000 cars that are transformed into themed vehicles. We’re proud to back our team as they bring Noddy and friends to life on the road.

S&G Response are proud to have been a headline sponsor for Matthew Roberts of Actuate Global in his 12 Marathons in 12 Months challenge, raising much needed funds for The Brain Tumour Charity and Motor Neurone Disease (MND) Association.

So far, Matt has raised a massive total of £52,147 which is a testament to his dedication, commitment and love for his parents to whom he has dedicated this challenge 💛

This weekend is Matt’s last marathon of this epic journey which will be taking place around Loch Ness on Sunday 28th September.

We want to say huge congratulations to Matt - good luck for your final challenge we will be watching your progress and routing for you!

Who says team meetings should be all about stats and figures? 👀

Of course there has to be an element of talking about SLA’s and performance as we have to ensure we are providing the best journey for our clients, but it should also be a time for everybody to get together and have a little fun.

🍕 This is exactly what happened today at head office. Our Engineers enjoyed pizza and a great catch up whilst one of our claims teams led by Nicola Badrock had great fun playing Heads Up.

It was great to see colleagues who would normally be working from home too! 🤩

On Saturday 2nd August, 23 of us got together and took part in an Inflatable Challenge at Cheshire Showground, our group consisted of colleagues and family.

Some of us did 2.5k and others did 5k, now it wasn’t the distance that was the challenge it was the obstacles!

Our ages ranged from 7-60 years and all different levels of fitness, so it was great to see everybody helping each other and having such a laugh along the way.

Next year we may add the element of water 😊😊

What a day we had at our annual charity golf day in aid of CAFTcharity⛳

💛 Today, at 7:00AM, S&G's Michael Bridge began a 63km ultra marathon from our Halifax office to Wilmslow - running in support of 5th Warrington 1st Oughtrington Scout Group and Kidneys for Life, two causes close to the S&G Response team.

Michael’s challenge will help fund vital storage and equipment for the Scout group, with Group Scout Leader Paul Gibson saying: “This monumental challenge will enable the group to site a storage container this year. The space will allow volunteers to repair any equipment over the winter months ready for next year’s Chamboree, an international camp in Cheshire.”

At the same time, he’s raising funds for kidney research and support, inspired by a colleague's personal family connection. Penny McKnight, Lead Fundraiser for Kidneys for Life, shared: “Our mission to help kidneys last a lifetime can't go on without fundraisers like Michael and the S&G Response team. We are very grateful for your support.”

Joined along the route by current and former colleagues, Michael will be cheered on by a team of supporters and we’re proud to back him every step of the way.

He’s already raised over £4,600 across JustGiving and offline donations. Can you help him reach the goal of £3,000 per cause?

💛 This week we celebrated S&G Response's 'Random Acts of Kindness Day' by handing out little treats, cards and sharing gifts to our people.

💙 Those that work from home received some treats through their letterbox.

☀️ Those who received a little something could either keep for themselves or decide to hand it on as their RAOK - it’s always nice to bring a little cheer into someone’s day!
