By bringing research into trusted, familiar community spaces, the project aims to help researchers connect with communities who are currently under-represented in health and care research. If you decide to become a Research Friendly Space, you’ll be eligible for a £200 grant to support your involvement. Join a free, 45-minute introductory session to find out more about the project, the support available and what becoming a RViR: Research Friendly Space could involve.

Introducing our September Member of the Month: Dementia Support Hampshire & IOW🌻
Dementia Support Hampshire & IOW is a charity dedicated to ensuring that nobody faces dementia alone. Founded in 2022, the charity provides practical guidance, emotional support, and opportunities for connection to people living with dementia and their family, friends and carers across Hampshire and the Isle of Wight.

The organisation was created in response to the lack of accessible support available following a dementia diagnosis. Today, it supports people at every stage of their dementia journey, helping them navigate challenges, reduce isolation, and improve their wellbeing through a range of personalised and community-based services.

– whether it’s a stroll through your local park, a hike along the coast, or a wander around your neighborhood. Wherever you are, you can make a difference.

Prefer to walk with others? Join one of our organised community walks at these beautiful locations:

📍 Warsash Harbour

📍 Barton on Sea

📍 Basingstoke Eastrop Park

📍 Emsworth Quay

Every step you take helps us provide vital support and services for people affected by dementia.

How to Get Involved:

✅Register online and set your own walking challenge or join a community walk.

✅Share your journey and fundraise with family, friends and colleagues.
