Art and creating has always been my balm during challenging times, so the work of my latest client, Junction Arts really resonates with me on a personal level.

I'll be working with staff and Trustees over the next few weeks to help them develop a more compelling narrative about their work and the impact they make through their participatory arts.

In this picture I'm getting involved with the charity's project with my daughter - what an imaginative and empowering project.

It was an absolute pleasure to lead on the publicity around the launch of The Jordan Sinnott Foundation Trust earlier this year and so wonderful to receive this glowing feedback from their chair, Melanie Tait.

Despite the tragic back story, it is inspiring that Jordan's family and friends have set up the charity in his name to help enable people facing various barriers to access all the life-enhancing benefits of grassroots sports.

With thanks to David Johnson-Rayner at Koi Sports CIC for the introduction.

What a joy it has been working with Ashgate Heritage Arts and over the last few weeks to promote the wonderful medieval murder-mystery musical, The Crooked Spire.

I've churned out press releases and copy, organised filming, helped launch a special edition 'crooked spire sling' cocktail and even dressed up as a medieval w***h to hand out flyers....all in days work!

All credit to the amazing cast of performers and production team who have worked tirelessly to make this wonderful, uplifting celebration of Chesterfield's heritage and people happen - all with a spring in their step, a song on their lips and a smile on their faces.

With thanks also to Junction Arts who have demonstrated their skill at engaging local communities with the arts and making things happen. And last but not least, a big thank-you to Chesterfield Theatres for all their advice and support.

I can't wait to sit back and enjoy the show tonight, in all its glory, at the Pomegranate Theatre.

Great to see my wonderful client Ashgate Heritage Arts in print this week ...check out Reflections, Twist and S40/ 41 magazines for coverage of their upcoming musical, The Crooked Spire.
Also, a big shout out to actor Gerard Fletcher who's helping out with the media junket.

We're delighted to have enticed Gerard Fletcher (Netflix's The Crown, BBC's Get Even, and upcoming BBC drama, Sherwood) back to his theatrical roots to play Sir Henry in our West End calibre musical, The Crooked Spire.

His role as Sir Henry sees him treading the boards once again, thirty years after his stage debut in Billy (The Musical) produced by Sheffield Teacher's Operatic Society, at Sheffield Lyceum Theatre.

"There's nothing close to working in theatre, it's hard to describe but theatre is so different from TV - you have a connection with the audience and you get a thrill when you know they are captivated," he explained.

Listen to Gerard talking about The Crooked Spire, his acting career and Sheffield roots, on BBC Radio Sheffield on Sunday 3rd April at around 12.10pm. Available afterwards on BBC Sounds.

Such a humbling day interviewing people who have been supported by about their recovery journey on behalf of Derbyshire Alcohol Advice Service.

Great to work with Large Scale Film to produce these high quality films which enable people to tell their stories in their own words.

The films will help promote the charity's new Veterans Information Point which offers a one stop shop for ex military in need of information, advice, signposting to other services and above all comradeship. Watch this space.

It's been a tough week, but so grateful to be surrounded by a loving and supportive family.
So as we approach Valentine's Day and you start fretting about what you should be doing, here are my thoughts on WHAT LOVE REALLY IS:
♡ Letting those close to you rant and rave at you because they're hurting...and giving them a hug anyway.
♡ Telling someone they smell nice or that colour suits them, when they look like s**t.
♡ Asking how the meeting went (when you really couldn't care less).
♡ Not making someone feel worse about something they've done or said, because you know they need your back.
♡ Setting the fire, making the tea, walking the dog, pouring a glass of wine - without being asked.
♡ Cleaning up someone else's s**t - metaphorically and literally - without complaint or expecting a prize.

How will you show someone you love them this weekend? ..................

Great meeting with the talented Martin Coslett of Ashgate Heritage Arts about promoting the organisation's new musical, The Crooked Spire; as well as discussing the West Side Story remake and the importance of involving local talent in treading the boards at The Pomegranate Theatre.

Really excited to be involved in promoting Chesterfield's cultural offer and of course, the intriguing story of its most iconic building.
