Supporting business owners to grow with confidence has always been at the heart of what we do.

That’s why we’re proud to introduce The Business Owners Club - a new community-led space designed to support business owners through structured thinking, shared experience and guided conversations.

The Club combines:
• coaching-led support
• practical tools and frameworks
• a community of ambitious business owners
• monthly focus on real business challenges

It’s ideal for business owners who want support to grow - but don’t necessarily need 1–2–1 coaching right now.

If you’re ready for clearer thinking and steadier progress, this is well worth exploring.

Breaking the habit that’s holding you back is the real breakthrough.
Habit stacking is how you turn that space into lasting change.

Have you ever come across the Spotlight Effect?
I wish someone had told me about it years ago.

It’s that sneaky little belief that everyone is watching us - noticing what we say, how we show up, and every tiny mistake we make.

But here’s the reality…
Most people are wrapped up in their own lives, their own worries, their own to-do lists. They’re not analysing our every move the way we think they are.

That awkward moment you keep replaying?
They’ve already moved on.

That thing you said that still makes you cringe?
Chances are, no one else even remembers it.

I still get the occasional flashback to something I said in a meeting years ago, convinced I sounded ridiculous… and then those same people come back asking for support, wanting to work together again, or following up on what I said.

It’s a good reminder: we’re so much harder on ourselves than anyone else ever is.
When you start to really understand this, and practice it - everything gets lighter.

You stop second-guessing yourself.

You stop chasing approval.

You start showing up as you are rather than who you think people want you to be.

And that feeling of letting go of how you think others see you?

That’s a kind of freedom - in life and in business.

January arrives with a lot of pressure to reinvent yourself… But do you need to do that?

It's easy to get swept up in resolutions and big goals you have no idea how you're going to make happen. Often unrealistic pressures accompany these thoughts, then as soon as we don't stick to the commitments we set ourselves we decide we've failed... and give up.

Maybe it's time to think about what you need to help you achieve those goals?

Is it clearer path? A bit more structure? Someone to help break those goals down into something more realistic? Perhaps, it's support that stops everything sitting on your shoulders?

If you want to start the year feeling grounded rather than overwhelmed, try asking yourself three simple questions:

1. What’s the ONE thing you want sorted by March?
Not ten things. One. The thing that would genuinely support progress.

2. What’s actually getting in your way?
It’s rarely knowledge - it’s usually capacity (we often underestimate how long it takes to complete tasks/projects), structure or not having someone to sense-check your thinking.

3. What would make running your business feel easier?
Easier to plan. Easier to prioritise. Easier to feel in control.

You don’t have to transform yourself or your business to have a better year.
You just need to be clear on what you want to happen, have the right support and allow yourself space to move in the direction you want.

Steady progress beats dramatic resolutions every single time.

If you want 2025 to feel different, start by backing YOU!

Welcome to the week where nobody knows what day it is… including business owners.

This “limbo” week is one of the best times to get perspective - low pressure, no emails flying around, no meetings and space to think without the usual rhythm of your everyday.

If you want to set yourself up for a smoother 2025, try this short exercise:
1. What worked this year? (Big or tiny.)
2. What drained you? (People, tasks, habits.)
3. What will you stop carrying into next year?
4. What support do you need around you?

No overthinking - just make some simple notes.

Most business owners don’t need a whole new strategy… they need a lighter mental load and a clearer path.

Take some time now, while you have it, and see what a difference it can make to the start of 2026 for you and your business.

The year is wrapping up, deadlines pile in, all the Christmas events are crammed into the next two weeks and suddenly the cost of “I’ll just do it myself” feels heavier than ever!

If you’re ending 2025 feeling tired from doing all the things, you’re not alone.

And it doesn’t have to be how you start 2026.

At BAS, we help business owners reduce the noise, create breathing room and build the kind of support that actually moves your business forward.

If you’re ready for a different kind of year, one where you’re not doing everything by yourself… we’re here.

Before you switch off for Christmas (or try to!)… Here’s your reminder that you’re allowed to pause.

Most small business owners sprint through December with diaries full of festive get-togethers, everyone tying up loose ends and people trying to be everywhere at once.

But before you down tools for the year, stepping back now for 15 minutes might just give you the opportunity to make better decisions in January.

So, here's the challenge.
Block everything out for 15 minutes. Set yourself a 15 minute timer and...

Write down the 3 things you want future you to feel in January

(not goals, not KPIs… how you want to feel.)

Clear? Supported? In control? Focused?

Then ask: “What could I do now so I'm better prepared to start feeling this in January?”

A phone reminder, a note to your accountant, a message to your network or booking in a meeting that will kick-start your new year.

Little steps now can create a calmer, more intentional January.

You don’t need to do everything before the year ends.

Just the things that matter.

We understand that people consume information very differently... Most people understand this, but how often do we tailor how we communicate?

We know that if we want our clients to grow, we need to meet them where they are.

That’s why we use 5 different communication methods depending on what works best for you:

🤝 Face-to-face meetings
Whether in-person or on Teams, this is where we dig deep, plan strategically and get real about what’s working (and what’s not).

📲 Phone & email support
For the quick wins, the check-ins, and the “can I just run this past you?” moments.

📝 Written meeting notes
Clear, structured actions you can look back on.

Even if you say, “Sian… I don’t read them 🙈”… they still matter.

Sometimes we shorten them.

Sometimes we simplify them.

And sometimes, they’re there for me to track your progress even if you prefer another style.

🎬 Goal videos
Because some people need to her it, not read it. Short personalised videos summarising your focus, priorities, or mindset shifts for the week.

🎙WhatsApp & voice notes
Perfect for fast-moving minds, busy days or when the it gets heavy and you need support in the moment… or have a good rant!

Why all five?

Because no two clients are the same. Once I know which formats you naturally gravitate towards, we lean into those.

Plus we always take on client feedback - a client once shared that things made sense in our sessions but the meeting notes confused them. This happened because we spent too long trying to add so much detail to the meeting notes - lesson learned and we developed our approach. We love feedback like this 💪

Our goal is simple…. Make it easier for you to understand, implement, and keep moving forward.

How do you communicate with your clients & customers? Is this different to how you communicate with business partners?

Ever noticed how we sometimes shrink ourselves without even noticing it? ...And how other people unintentionally do it too - not out of malice, but because ambitious people often feel the need to “tone it down” so they don’t seem "too much".

You say you want to improve something, push further, strive to do something new…

And someone replies, “But you’re already doing amazing!”

Which is kind but also completely misses the point when you know you’re capable of more.

Is it because we're conditioned to either be grateful or want something more. Why not both?

Research shows that 72% of high-achievers downplay their goals because they fear being perceived as unrealistic or “too ambitious.”

So if you’ve ever felt torn, proud of yourself but still hungry for more... you’re far from alone.
You’re just human - and driven!

So it's absolutely okay to look at how far you’ve come and reflect on all you've done... the late nights, the resilience, the quiet battles no one ever saw, and feel genuinely proud of yourself.

And at the exact same time, you’re allowed to want more.

More ease.
More confidence.
More balance.
More opportunities.
More income.
Whatever your personal flavour of “more” is.

Wanting the next chapter means you’re still growing. Still evolving. Still paying attention to who you’re becoming.

So be proud of how far you've come and still strive to want more

Oh, and we NEVER want to see anyone downplay their goals this is your invitation to ALWAYS share those big, beautiful goals with us and we will ALWAYS encourage you to make them a reality!
