Another successful result using the Black Cat rat trap catching 2 juvenile rats and nearly a third in a single session.

Targeting juvenile rats is a key part of effective pest control. Young rats quickly mature and reproduce, so removing them early helps break the breeding cycle and prevents a small issue from becoming a much larger infestation.

Fast action and the right equipment make all the difference when it comes to protecting homes and businesses from growing rodent populations.

Two new squirrel feeders ready to be set up as part of our ongoing grey squirrel control work. 🐿️

Grey squirrels are an invasive non-native species in the UK and can have a serious impact on native wildlife, particularly red squirrels where populations remain. They also cause damage by stripping bark from trees, affecting woodland health and commercial forestry.

These feeders allow for targeted, controlled management in a safe and effective way as part of responsible pest control practices.

Wildlife management isn’t always the side people see, but it plays an important role in protecting native species and reducing long-term environmental damage.

If you’re experiencing issues with grey squirrels causing damage to trees, loft spaces, outbuildings or feed stores, feel free to get in touch.

A bit of footage from one of the rats dealt with on the farm last night.

It’s been quieter than usual recently with the change in weather, and the rats seem to have moved back out into the fields but there are still plenty about.

Pest control never stops, especially on farms where populations can quickly build back up if left unmanaged.

A görényeknek ásónk megragadásával tudunk könnyíteni munkájukon.

This footage was captured on one of our trail cameras during a recent inspection in Knutsford, where the customer reported signs of mice in their loft.

Lofts provide the perfect environment for rodents – warm, sheltered, and often undisturbed. By using trail cameras, we're able to confirm activity levels, identify rodent routes, and build a targeted treatment plan rather than relying on guesswork.

In this case, the camera quickly confirmed mouse activity, allowing us to take the next steps to bring the infestation under control.

If you've noticed scratching noises in the loft, droppings, gnawed materials, or unusual pet behaviour, don't ignore the signs. A small mouse problem can escalate surprisingly quickly.

Another successful rodent control visit. 🐀
This video shows 4 juvenile rats caught in Black Cat traps, highlighting the importance of early intervention before a small problem becomes a major infestation.
If you've noticed signs of rodent activity around your home or business, don't wait—professional pest control can stop the issue before it grows.

These 5 juvenile rats were all caught within 24 hours of the traps being set. The cameras are still picking up activity, so the traps have been reset and monitoring is continuing.

Seeing young rats is often a sign that a breeding population is present, which is why it's important to deal with the issue quickly before numbers increase. Ongoing monitoring helps make sure we're not just catching the visible rats, but getting on top of the whole problem.
