Could you be exempt? π€
The application process is open for taxpayers who may qualify for an exemption from Making Tax Digital for Income Tax (MTD for IT) and who are due to join the regime from 6 April 2027.
This applies to self-employed individuals and landlords with qualifying income exceeding Β£30,000 in the 2025/26 tax year.
Most taxpayers within scope will be required to keep digital records and submit quarterly updates using MTD for IT compatible software. However, certain individuals may be able to claim an exemption where complying with the digital requirements is not reasonably practicable.
Could this be you?
