👑 The King’s Speech took place on Wednesday, setting out the Government’s plans for the next parliamentary session and future legislation.
For employers, it’s another reminder that employment law continues to evolve and businesses need to stay prepared.
Some key areas expected to impact employers include:
✔️ Changes to right to work checks expected later this year
✔️ Proposed extensions to Employment Tribunal time limits
✔️ New data protection requirements for handling complaints
✔️ Increased focus on employer responsibility and compliance
While some of these changes are still developing, now is a good time for businesses to review their processes, policies and manager training to make sure they are prepared.
