🚗🏁 We’re excited to share some big news! After 47 years, Triplex Safety Glass (Pilkington Classics) is teaming up once again with the legendary Triplex Capri.

Stay tuned for updates coming soon! You’ll soon be seeing her back on the track in 2026 for the 50 year anniversary. as expected, the Capri will be sporting a new tinted windscreen made by us, just like the one the car would have had straight from the factory.

"⭐The De Tomaso Drivers Club UK⭐ contacted Pilkington Glass in late 2022 enquiring about windscreens for our members cars. Several of the cars were leaking and it was found that they were all fitted with screens that were actually too small. In one case the screen was only held in by the rubber, the actual glass was too small for the aperture!

The stocked screen listed by Pilkington was also too small! How two different manufacturers were able to tool up and produce a screen that was too small we never did find out.

Thanks to the help of Harriet Perkins, and the people at Pilkington Classics, we were able to determine the correct size screen for the cars and 11 of these screens were ordered. A few of these are now fitted to members cars and leaks are a thing of the past!

De Tomaso made several models over the years but the best known was the Pantera. The Pantera held the fastest car in the world record in the early 70's at 175mph.

The Pantera was the longest supercar in continuous production and was made from 1970 right up to 1991. Though the basic shape stayed the same, improvements to the performance, interior and body were developed over the years. " - Mike Miller
