Be warned... we're about to use the C-word.

Christmas.

And with that, the return of the Bingo Box Challenge.

Now in its 9th year, this annual campaign brings local businesses together to support people in our community who need it most, in partnership with Worcester Foodbank.

While Christmas is a time of celebration for many, it can be especially difficult for families already facing hardship. Over the last 12 months, Worcester Foodbank has distributed emergency food parcels to more than 14,000 people, including around 5,000 children, underlining the vital role it plays in supporting the local community.

This year, we're asking local businesses to help make our biggest Bingo Box Challenge yet.

We're incredibly proud to have received the Corporate Partnership Award from Midlands Air Ambulance Charity at their Saving Lives Charity Ball, during their 35th anniversary year.

This recognition reflects more than two decades of support, fundraising and collaboration. Most importantly, it highlights the generosity of our clients, sponsors, event attendees and everyone who gets behind our fundraising efforts year after year. ISO 9001:2026 is on the way. But now isn't the time to rewrite your QMS.

With the revised standard expected to be published in September, many organisations are asking what they should be doing now.

Our advice? Prepare, don't panic.

Instead of rewriting procedures based on draft information, focus on getting your current ISO 9001:2015 system in good shape.

A few practical steps you can take today:

✅ Check when your next audit is due
✅ Review any outstanding audit findings
✅ Start a transition action log
✅ Appoint someone to lead the transition internally
✅ Brief senior management on the expected timeline

What should you avoid?

❌ Rewriting your entire QMS before the final standard is published
❌ Treating draft commentary as confirmed requirements
❌ Leaving transition planning until the last minute
