Hello, long time no speak...well, I have good reason 😀

I am looking into another way of saving resources. I have set up a Friends of the Old Ship Inn community chat and an actual in-person First Meeting to save the lovely historic building in Worksop.

Please come along, listen to our ideas and bring your own. Any support is vital and welcomed to help us access funding.

Finally!! A bit more than the 12-18months I was told...but glad it's happening soon.

The new Simpler Recycling scheme will change the way waste is recycled in England forever and pave the way for a more sustainable future.

I would like to thank you all for your support and patience over the past year or so

Unfortunately we never found suitable premises even after much searching 😕

Supermarkets take lots of the same items

Also at a meeting with BDC they advised that they would be collecting "pretty much everything we did" within 12 months

This was around 8 months ago now and it seemed that our paying out to set up systems that would be dwarfed by such a big organisation would be pretty pointless

Personal issues also had an impact on the decision

Therefore WEBA Waste is no longer an ongoing concern

Whilst recycling has gone quiet (...more exciting news to follow...) We went to visit Chesterfield Repair Café yesterday to find out how things work. It was very informative and interesting, look out on WEBA Repair Café page for updates on our progress 😃 WW🌞🌍
