YES! We are so proud and honoured that our Horrifying Effects rail trespass campaign for Network Rail and the British Transport Police was recognised with a Grand Prix win at last night's EMEA.

It takes a huge team of people to bring effective, ambitious campaigns to life. Not just our own brilliant people, but a client team with ambition, courage and conviction - and a desire to genuinely change behaviour - and a production partner that understands exactly what you're trying to achieve, then aims higher. All love to everyone at Network Rail, the British Transport Police and Space Film & VFX - we did good!

Also, massive and very sincere thanks to all the judges - we are so grateful and thrilled that you liked the work - and to The Drum for hosting such a slick event.

As well as the Grand Prix, our ultra-gory homage to old school safety campaigns was honoured with Gold in the following categories:

🏆 Advertising
🏆 Charity or Not for Profit & Government or Public Sector
🏆 Creative

The campaign reduced rail trespass by 23% and deaths by su***de by 30%, and delivered 120% ROI - see it, and full results, here: https://www.thestorycatchers.co.uk/our-work/horrifying (Viewer discretion advised)

Exciting news... The efficacy and disruptive creative ambition of our Horrifying Effects rail safety campaign for Network Rail and the British Transport Police has been recognised by judging panels at The Drum Marketing Awards EMEA, who have shortlisted our work in 4 categories:

🏆 Advertising
🏆 Charity or Not for Profit & Government or Public Sector
🏆 Creative
🏆 Disruption

Our ultra-gory homage to old school safety campaigns reduced rail trespass by 23% and deaths by su***de by 30%, and delivered 120% ROI.

By showcasing the craft and graft that sits behind movie practical special effects, we showed the horrifying effects of rail trespass in content audiences wanted to watch – and is now burned on their retinas… See the work and full behaviour change results here: https://www.thestorycatchers.co.uk/our-work/horrifying (Viewer discretion advised).

Huge congrats to all our fellow finalists – and we’ll be keeping all the things crossed until the results are announced on June 3rd…

We’ve been working with The FA’s biggest division, England Football Learning, and it’s been a real joy to be involved at a time when the game is thriving.

Their mission is simple and powerful: to raise coaching standards, support more people into the game, and make football safer, more inclusive, and more enjoyable for everyone. Their impact is huge – from refreshed qualifications to expanded opportunities for under-represented coaches, to better digital learning experiences across the whole game.

We’re proud to help tell that story.

For years, work experience has depended on where you live or who your family knows.

Now, that could finally change.

The government has set out an ambition for every secondary school student to receive 10 days’ worth of meaningful modern work experience – a major step towards fairness and opportunity for all young people.

We’ve been working with The Careers & Enterprise Company to help create the narrative behind this shift, and today our film ‘Let’s Make It Work’ was shown to an audience of up to 3,000 at CEC’s national symposium.

Please watch the film and share it with anyone who could help support this important mission.

Our very own Katy is with Network Rail Community Safety Manager Manny Singh Kang all day today on board ‘Inspiration’, the incredible Railway200 exhibition train touring the country to celebrate 200 years of railway innovation.

They’re showcasing our Hidden Heroes campaign, which celebrates just a handful of the brilliant people at Network Rail working round the clock to keep the railway moving.

Lovely to be at Rail Live this week, connecting with colleagues and seeing so much innovation in action across the sector. We were proud to see our work for Network Rail on display – including the Drive Safe activation (complete with Drowsy Driver goggles) and our Engineering Services content in their incredibly popular stand.

Special mention to the weather: brilliant sunshine and the perfect excuse for team ice creams.

For a little bit of Friday fun we’ve just done a very silly quiz.

The final round was to recreate some campaign photos from our website.

Here are the well-deserved winners.

And a special shout out to Mrs Baker (Katy’s mum) who joined us. 10 extra points for being brilliant.

It’s always nice to get out the office, and even better when it’s for a good cause.

Over two days during the last couple of weeks, our team donated 10.5 workdays to help sort through pre-loved book donations to get them ready to find a new home. And we donated an extra 401 (every one counts) books to add to the 1.5 million they’ve already handed out.

It’s such an important charity and one that’s really easy to support. And you’ll have a great time. We did! Plus it turned out to be a brilliantly rewarding team building exercise. 10/10 would recommend.

Find out more about them here https://childrensbookproject.co.uk/

And if you can, donate or volunteer. It all makes a huge difference.

And the winner is… safety.

We’re thrilled to have won awards for our Network Rail trespass campaign featuring Big Manny. But the impact is what’s really important.

The campaign helped reduce national trespass by 5% (entirely organically with no paid media) and reduced child trespass in hotspot areas by 44%.
