BNI Worthing Thursday 🥓🍳 ☕

Thursday's meeting saw an interactive speaker presentation from Ingrid Sbongk-Sonderfeld
As a sports masseuse we were given both an education on the vigorous training Ingrid has gone through to get to where she is and some (quite literal) hands on training! 👐🏻

As we paired up and proceeded to (try) and give each other next and shoulder massages!

Which was highly entertaining to say the least!

Thank you Ingrid for a fun and educational morning! 😘

Continuing the education theme, we heard from our usual education slot hero Paul McCarthy who gave us some pointers on how to nail your 60 second presentation and make the most of your short time presenting. 🗣️

Oh yes - and the small matter of plenty of referrals, one-to-ones, testimonials and thank yous for the business going round!

BNI Worthing Thursday ☕🥓

Thursday's BNI saw a speaker presentation from Shayne Cuthbert of Alverstone Autos Ltd - hearing all about his love of cars, cats and what can only be described as a love hate relationship with french cars!
But what is clear to see for everyone is that Shayne believes in offering a fair service and at a fair price - unfortunately unlike a lot of car garages!
So if you want a great value MOT or service, with honest feedback please give Shayne a shout!

We also heard an education slot from Luke Potton covering for Paul McCarthy talking about productivity improvements and some of the great publications out there to help support this.

BNI Worthing Thursday 🥓☕

Thursday we heard a useful 10 mins speaker presentation from Simon Isherwood on all things cyber security - protecting our data, security tips and recognising scams.
Thank you Simon - SiTec are our in-house IT department!!

We also heard an education slot from Paul McCarthy talking about the 'referral ladder' and the importance of building relationships and partnerships within BNI to maximise your referral potential.

Finally it was Mike Metters birthday - receiving a nice new set of Paddle balls to celebrate 🥳

Today's speaker presentation was a debut presentation and from our youngest member... and what a brilliant job he did too.
Well done Scott Shadbolt of Inicio Solutions Limited
A proper polite, knowledgeable and driven young professional - painting and decorating, soon to be plastering and with a clear vision to move into skilled and accredited multi trades 👏

We also have a new member to celebrate - Sam at S2 Plumbing & Gas Limited
Who's initiation somehow became a read out of the rules whilst locked into a carry of President Matthew Cohen - as you do 🤷‍♂️

We also heard an education slot from Paul McCarthy around making space in your vacuum for important tasks and ideas.

Yet another fantastic morning of breakfast, networking, referrals and learning 😘

BNI Worthing Thursday ☕🥓💬

This morning it was all about the food!
Starting with a delicious breakfast as usual with great coffee. 🥓🍳🥐☕

We were then given an education slot from Paul McCarthy in the form of a story about adding value and going the extra mile - in this case a story about lemons 🍋

Then the main event of the morning was a speaker presentation from Julie West Was Calder from Bacon (🥓) Micawber Lettings.

Julie gave us an insightful talk about how she just wants to help people and finding people their home is a privilege. And how Micawber Lettings have transformed and grown over time into the dual brand it is today.
Julie is certainly one of the good ones and always an absolute joy in the room - thank you, Julie.

Matthew Cohen of Matthew Anthony Estate Agency won the best 60 second round for being told he looks like an owl by his son 🦉 - there was an analogy in there somewhere 🤷‍♂️

And Simon Whitney won Julie's door prize - one the lovely hampers she gives to new tenants. Finishing off the food theme in style! 😋🧺

Today we had a very special visitors day.
With the aim of getting some new people in to see what it's all about and to try and help grow our chapter. 📈

With over 30 professionals in the room it was a busy, bustling, fun and lively morning covering everything from tips and tricks to great BNI stories. 😘

The feedback was super as several of the visitors have already expressed a wish to join 🙌

Thanks to Simon Whitney for an education slot explaining the importance of brand awareness both for from a marketing perspective and also for SEO & AI visibility. 👋

And thanks to the BNI Worthing team as a whole for putting the morning together with slideshows, stories and making it a fun and welcoming visit for all our guests 🥰

Today we heard an inspiring 10 minutes presentation from Joanna Godden talking about the amazing work Sussex Cancer Fund do in our community - It was brilliant to learn more about the charity especially with Jo's high energy and super fun quiz style with sweets being thrown all over the place for correct answers! 🍬

We also had an interesting education slot from Paul McCarthy who showed us how to categorize your clients so you know who are the best and who are the worst - we have them! 🙈

An exciting build up to next weeks much anticipated visitors day.... where we are still on the look out for more visitors, which is a free event, a free chance to meet our amazing business leaders and a free full english breakfast! If you want to know more or get involved please enquire within! 📝

This morning we heard a great 10 mins speaker presentation from Elena Mura-Bates talking all things travel - please check her out if you need your holiday planned to perfection! ⛱️

World Cup Fever has hit! ⚽🏆🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿
Plenty of World Cup themed pitches and props today, as well as sweepstake - the biggest ever World Cup meant everyone got to draw 2 teams... and some were early luckier than others! 🤞🏽

And we even heard a story of losing a contract with the England team due to Trump's tariffs whilst they are in the USA 🙈🙉🙊🇺🇸

We heard a fantastic speaker presentation from Terry Goldsmith - not just talking about windows, doors and conservatories but also about great customer service and the importance of being front and centre of the business - not hiding behind it!
And no wonder Trident Windows and Prestige Doors have grown so much even during a tough economy - Terry is a guy that's clearly trustworthy and looks after his clients. 👏🏽

We heard an education slot from Paul McCarthy on how we can help grow our amazing chapter and plan for our upcoming visitors day (please enquire if you'd like a free visit and breakfast to our amazing group 😘)

Finally Lee Jones won the best 60 second round with his honest grievances towards Trump 👀🙊🙉🙈🇺🇸
