We are delighted to welcome the wonderful who joins us at Wotton for the first in a series of special valuation days as we welcome entries for both our September Antique & Interiors sale and our Autumn Quarterly Fine & Curated Sale taking place in October

Izzie will be joining us one day each month ahead of the monthly auction

One of the best known and loved names from the world of antiques and television, you’ll have seen Izzie featuring in The BBC’s Bargain Hunt, Antiques Road Trip and The Travelling Auctioners!

Jack and Toby highlighting a favourite piece each from another fabulous two day auction here this week!

Our August Antique & Interiors sale had the usual variety you’d know to expect from Wotton, with everything from mid century furniture to that fabulous barn-find collection of vintage motorbikes performing brilliantly earlier this week…

Jack took to the rostrum offering this Georgian carved snake or dragon bangle bracelet, together with a graduated bead necklace and a 9ct gold and charm bracelet, suspended with various charms to include a F**a hand pendant with turquoise and snake mount which out-performed expectations to fetch £1,500

Toby sold a bumper pictures section this month to include this fabulous piece of local history - A late Victorian needlework sampler, possibly produced in a Bristol orphanage in typical red cotton cross-stitch on a linen ground, initialled and dated ‘AEC 1878’ which flew past its estimate to realise £4,500!

We’re straight away consigning for our September Antique & Interiors Sale on Tuesday & Wednesday 29th & 30th September followed by the Autumn Fine & Curated sale on Tuesday 13th October

An instantly familiar face from the likes of BBC’s Bargain Hunt, Antiques Road Trip, The Travelling Auctioneers & more - Izzie brings her wealth of experience as a jewellery specialist and general valuer to the team at Wotton for a special valuation day each month!

The first such event will take place on Wednesday 9th September from 10:30am - 3:00pm at our historic Tabernacle chapel sale room in Wotton-under-Edge, GL12 7EB

We’re delighted to shine a light on both a wonderful local collection and a local legend who’s helped curate it!

Our very own Ian Brunt talks us through a collection of untouched barn-stored Honda motorcycles dating from the 1970’s, 1980’s and 1990’s, which we’re delighted to offer for sale in this week’s August Antique & Interiors Auction, selling with us this Wednesday afternoon

Regular visitors will know Ian and his brother Martin who worked meticulously to reunite elements of this bikes in this collection and present them for sale - all of which had been waiting patiently in barn storage for a number of years before we were instructed by the owners

The group is offered without reserve and is just part one of this remarkable single owner collection coming to sale at Wotton!

Following the unprecedented success of our recent Summer Fine Sale we are delighted to be welcoming consignments ahead of our next quarterly Fine & Curated Auction

Our Summer Fine Sale was a record breaker with the highest totalling auction in our 150 year history, delivered across 600 lots spanning millennia in date and with origins from across the globe - all culminating in a specular day on the rostrum here in Wotton-under-Edge

Our Autumn Sale takes places on Tuesday 13th of October and is already looking like another very special day indeed

While August may traditionally be a quieter month in the auction world, there’s been plenty happening behind the scenes here at Wotton Auction Rooms as we’ve been out across Gloucestershire and the wider UK consigning fantastic pieces from Hampstead to Hampshire, from Cheltenham to Chester, welcoming new finds through the doors of our historic tabernacle chapel and Sunday school sale rooms on the edge of the Cotswolds

It’s been a fabulously busy few weeks in the heat of the Cotswolds here as we prepare for our August Antique & Interiors sale on the 25th & 26th and our Autumn quarterly sale
