🌳 Come and plant trees with us on Saturday 28th March at Barlow nr. Blaydon.

Gateshead Council are creating a new 33 hectare woodland on land they have acquired and Living Woods CIC are helping them to get people involved in community tree planting.

We will be in touch with the exact directions/location prior to the day.

🌳 Additional Information
All trees, gloves, equipment and guidance will be provided. Please wear sturdy boots or shoes at is may be muddy.
Please bring your own lunch/snacks/water/flask as you wish.

We have a volunteer day coming up at our Rothbury site - Tod's Place on Sunday 8th February.

Tod’s Place is a 30 acre parcel of land between the river Coquet and Cockshot burn – with a mix of ancient woodland and organic pasture.

There are a growing range of volunteering opportunities as we get to know the site better, including developing a community tree nursery and orchard, and supporting the ‘natural colonisation’ of the pasture.

We will start the day with a walk around Tod's Place and an introduction to the site. The practical task for the day will be thickening the boundary hedge with newly planted trees.

Book your place here. Or sign up via MyImpact if you already volunteer with us.

More young planters joined us this morning in South Tyneside, bringing fantastic energy and teamwork to the site. Difficult to believe those blue skies were just this morning! ☀️

Great to see such enthusiasm and motivation from everyone — an amazing effort all round! Led by Living Woods CIC, in partnership with South Tyneside Council
