RHC Lifting’s newest venture is now complete – the first gantry crane on the moon! 🌕

This state-of-the-art gantry uses bespoke anti-gravity technology, zero-atmosphere load stabilisation, and a patented lunar anchoring system to ensure safe, precise lifting in even the most challenging conditions.

Engineered to withstand extreme temperatures, meteor showers, and the occasional curious astronaut, this installation sets a new benchmark for off-world lifting solutions.

RHC Lifting Solutions has recently completed a full overhaul of an MRS Griefer orange-peel waste grab for a customer.

As part of the refurbishment, the grab was fully stripped down to allow for a detailed fault-finding inspection. This enabled our team to identify and repair issues such as wiring corrosion and general wear and damage accumulated over time. The process also included replacing the grab petals to restore optimal performance.

To complete the overhaul, the grab was fully resprayed, giving it a refreshed finish before being returned to site for reinstallation.

RHC Lifting can also arrange a site visit to assess your existing grab cranes, discuss your operational requirements, and provide a tailored estimate for an overhaul.

More cranes leaving the Bristol workshop this month! 2 x 3.2t cranes fitted Krantechnik hoists designed for tandem lifting.

These units form part of a major upgrade and extension project for a customer in Wales, where the production and maintenance line cranes required modernisation to improve performance and reliability.

They will now be delivered to site ready for installation by our team! 👷‍♂️

Earlier this month, our Bristol team installed a new 250kg jib for a precision engineering company near Bath.

This pillar-mounted jib has a 4m outreach and is fitted with slew stop protectors. It came complete with a push trolley SWF Krantechnik GmbH electric chain hoist, providing 3m HOL.

It will be used at the customer's workshop for loading components.

Last week, we said goodbye to one of our senior crane engineers, Martin Porteous, as he begins a well-deserved retirement. 👏

Martin has been a valued member of the RHC team for 25 years and has worked alongside many of our colleagues long before RHC was formed.

Andy Cayzer, project director, who has worked with Martin for the past 37 years, said “Martin has been a cornerstone of RHC since 2001, and a colleague and friend to all who have worked with him. His knowledge, commitment to work and seeing the job through will be missed by us all.”

Last week RHC Lifting dispatched two large mobile A-frame gantries, marking our first large delivery of the year! 👏

Each gantry is 5m high and with an 8m span, both fitted with a 5-tonne SWF wire rope hoist with 20-metre HOL and a festoon system, designed for flexibility, efficiency and reliability on site. This gantry was custom-designed for our customers' requirements and will be used on a construction site in Somerset!
