Ash logs:
Our kiln dried real ash logs provide a more traditional fuel for your domestic needs. Each batch is fully tested before sale and moisture content is typically 15%. The Ash we provide has been locally and sustainably sourced, seasoned and dried in a barn heated from a biomass burner. Sawdust Briquettes ’eco logs’:
Eco Logs provide a convenient and efficient way to heat your home or use in
your chimnea, firepit, pizza oven or bbq. The Eco Logs are made from the sawdust of mainly soft wood, used in carpentry, resulting in briquettes with an average of 5% moisture. For this reason Eco Logs are both easy to light and provide optimal heat
output. Briquette sizes are 3” x 3” meaning they are easy to store and can be
used to easily to control your fire size and heat output. Eco Credentials:
Yateley Eco Logs are a bi-product from industry. Using them to heat our homes not only spares them from being landfilled but also lowers our reliance on energy sources derived from fossil fuels. They are 100% carbon neutral and use no glue or binders making them a 100% natural source of heat. Ash logs are one of the best species for firewood production and is grown and harvested on a commercial basis for this purpose. The immediate effect of the spread of ash dieback is that a lot of these woodlands are being felled to protect the timber stock which means that there is and will be a lot of British ash firewood for sale in the short to medium-term. However, this does mean that there will be a lack of, or very little, ash firewood in the long-term. Woodland managers I have spoken to have suggested other species will be planted to replace the ash stock in the UK. Application:
Eco Logs can be used to start a traditional log fire, mixed with other wood to bring the combustion temperature up or simply used on their own. Eco Logs and Ash Logs can be used in open fires, traditional burners, modern burners, chimneas, fire
pits, pizza ovens and BBQ’s. Yateley:
