So this morning I took some time out to work on my side hustle…

I delivered 400 free Korean skincare products to my chosen charity, Baby Basics South Somerset, which is based at the wonderful Monksyard, Horton Cross, Ilminster.

These will be included in the layette baskets they donate to new mums in need of support and I hope it brings a smile to a few faces and some subtle encouragement for a new Mum to spend a few minutes on herself.

Baby Basics is a wonderful charity supporting people right here in Somerset who are in immediate need of practical help, their work is heartfelt, local, and genuinely needed.

In case you missed it, we would like to reintroduce Evie House, who has recently completed a Business Administration Apprenticeship in our Employer Engagement department here at Yeovil College.💙

We had the opportunity to speak with Evie and find out about her experience of being an apprentice. Here’s what she had to say:

“I always wanted to do the apprenticeship route as this is a great way to gain experience but also learn at the same time. This apprenticeship has allowed me to gain valuable administration skills which I can use in my professional career.

“The delivery of my apprenticeship has been great; I feel that the masterclasses have helped develop my skills and I have felt supported all throughout my time as an apprentice. My department colleagues are all very helpful and I cannot fault them."

Evie has now secured a full time role within the Employer Engagement team at Yeovil College showing the potential of apprenticeship progression! 🎉
