International Day of Charity is about the people who give of themselves, not the large donations or the names on buildings, but the quiet acts of service that hold a place together.
Most of it happens with no recognition at all, which tends to be how the people doing it prefer it. They weren't looking to be thanked. They saw something that needed doing and they did it.
Today is for acknowledging them anyway.
To everyone who gives their time and their care to somebody who needs it, thank you. It matters more than you know.
