What do we pay for in staff?

I've been thinking about this recently and for me, its between experience, qualifications and confidence.

And if I was pushed for one of the three, I'd have to go for confidence.

This may sound mad but you can have confidence in somebody that doesn't have the or you've advertised, but if do don't have the in somebodies capabilities, then you wouldn't them to do the job.

I even think that after a certain point in our , it becomes the selling of ourselves that comes above most other factors in .

ARE YOU ACTUALLY ‘GOOD’ AT TIMEKEEPING?

How many of us describe ourselves as excellent at timekeeping?

I have, especially in job interviews. The truth is I’m not, I’ve never been organised and good with timekeeping, but was trained to say I was in interviews.

I’ve learnt to recognise this weakness over time and only recently have I managed to get to a point where this statement is true!

How do you you become more productive?
⁣
For me, I look at all of my goals in a systematic approach. Knowing what you are going to do and keeping track of what you’ve already done, is the key to making good progress.
⁣
There is a third factor though! The above are great, but if these are always being put off and the tasks you avoid, that’s not productive.
⁣
Finding ways to make yourself accountable to these, such as, discussing at a minuted meeting, or having an actionable plan, the easiest however is giving all tasks time constraints.
