We're hiring: Office Manager / Business Operations Coordinator

We're looking for an organised, proactive and highly capable person to join the team at Dunesforde Vineyard.

This isn't a traditional office administration role.

You'll report directly to the owners and become a key part of the day-to-day running of the business, helping to bring structure to a busy environment, improve organisation and make sure nothing falls through the cracks.

Dunesforde is an award-winning, family-run vineyard established in 2016. We produce single estate-grown wines, welcome visitors for tours, tastings, events and our seasonal wine bar, and supply a growing number of leading restaurants and hospitality venues.

📍 Dunesforde Vineyard, North Yorkshire
🕘 Full-time, Monday–Friday
💷 Competitive salary, dependent on experience

We're particularly interested in someone who is exceptionally organised, confident managing multiple priorities and enjoys taking ownership and finding better ways of working.

Previous experience in office management, business support, administration, hospitality, tourism or events would be advantageous, but attitude, organisation and attention to detail are more important to us than experience in any one industry.

To apply, please send your CV to [email protected]

If you know someone that would be interested please share this post with them.

Some good news from the vineyard this week.

We were delighted to learn that both our Sparkling Pinot Gris and Queen of the North Special Reserve have been awarded Silver Medals at the WineGB Awards, continuing our decade-long journey to produce outstanding cool climate wines.

However, what made this week's results particularly special for our family was seeing James Townsend receive his first ever Gold Medal under his own label, Leornian Wines, for his remarkable still Chardonnay.

Produced from Essex-grown fruit, the grapes were whole-bunch pressed before fermentation and ageing in ceramic, followed by further maturation in seasoned oak barrels. Bottled by hand without fining or filtration, just 530 bottles were produced.

Many of you may know James through Dunesforde and the Townsend family. While Leornian Wines is very much his own venture, seeing him receive recognition for a project built with such care and dedication was a proud moment for all of us.

Awards are never the reason we make wine, but they are a welcome reminder that years of hard work, patience and attention to detail can be recognised.

Congratulations James – thoroughly deserved! 🍾

It’s asparagus season and we have some delicious asparagus growing just up the road from the vineyard . Emily has a fantastic pairing suggestion with one of our wines and the beautiful green spears.
What’s your favourite seasonal food and wine pairing? 🤔
