Great morning out with the boy in York for .uk Vandal Fest. Loads of interesting graffiti art and all in aid of a great cause in . Favourite room probably poster montage, but loads of inspiration for a boy and a garage full of spray paint…

A bit of a self-imposed social media hiatus to give me a fighting chance of focussing on all the things I’m meant to be doing right now. I’m working on some exciting stuff with the lovely people at (more of which to. One) but in the meantime if you’re in Malton for the food festival or following the Noryh Yorkshire Open Studios trail next month then drop in and see them and all the lovely art that they do 😁

Our next featured boards are by Nev Gosling. We’ve included a couple of images by Nev in the trail because we love them so much. Local resident Nev is 85 and took up painting after living with the severe impacts of Parkinson’s Disease. Nev’s pictures are really beautiful and we’ve had so many positive comments about them - we’re really grateful to Nev’s family for sharing his artwork with us.

One of Nev’s boards can be found outside the Norton Town Council building. We’d like to thank Next Steps for hosting Nev’s other board in the window of their café in Church Street.

Next Steps is a local charity who specialise in helping local people with mental health problems. They work closely with GPs and community mental health teams to offer support to people affected by well-being, isolation and mental health issues. Next Steps offer a range of services including their Norton Community Café. There’s a link in our bio if you want to find out more.
