If you asked me to pick my favourite Lola Design products right now... I genuinely don’t think I could. 😅

So here’s a little reel of some of my current favourites from the collection.

There’s a bit of everything in here , Wildlife Botanical, Tiny Fluffs, humour cards, gift bags, soaps, stationery and a Father’s Day card that means a lot to me personally. 💙

The Tiny Fluffs characters have a special place in my heart because every single one starts as a tiny bundle of wool on my desk before being transformed into a card design. (I’ll share the making video for Oo La La very soon!)

And yes... I’ve included my current number one favourite at the end. 👀

I’d love to know which one you’d take home with you. Let me know in the comments, I always love hearing which designs people connect with most.

Let’s take a moment... 🐿️✨

Meet one of the characters from my Wildlife Botanical collection a red squirrel nestled amongst foxgloves and botanicals, painted before eventually finding its way onto greeting cards, stationery and gifts.

Lately, I’ve realised I spend so much time creating the artwork, then move straight on to product design, sampling, printing and launches, that I rarely stop and properly appreciate what I’ve actually created.

So I’m trying to change that.

To slow down a little. To be more present in the creative process. To spend a moment looking back before rushing on to the next thing.

British wildlife has always been a huge source of inspiration for me, and combining animals with flowers and foliage is still one of my favourite things to paint. There’s something a little magical about bringing them together.

And yes... this red squirrel definitely took far longer than I’d ever admit to Frank 😂

I’d love to know — what’s your favourite British wildlife animal?

Wait… why am I emotionally attached to a tiny felt cloud? ☁️🥹

Meet Tiny Fluffs… a brand new range I’ve been secretly working on behind the scenes.

Every single character starts life completely handmade by me using needle felting, a lot of patience… and occasional rage when the wool refuses to cooperate 😂

This little cloud was one of the very first Tiny Fluffs I made and somehow it’s ended up with a full personality in my head.

I genuinely think making tiny faces activates something slightly unhinged in creative people because why do I now feel responsible for its wellbeing 😭

Launching very soon at and honestly… we can’t wait to show you the rest of them 🤍

Please tell me I’m not the only person who gets emotionally attached to things they make 😅

Sorry we’ve gone a bit quiet on here lately 💛

Between Rocky’s health, designing next year’s collections, prepping new launches and getting our stand ready for Harrogate Home & Gift in July… it’s been a *little* bit full on behind the scenes lately.

Right now we’re surrounded by paint, samples, old stand boards and about 14 unfinished jobs at once 😅

Here’s a little behind-the-scenes video of us recovering old boards for Harrogate while surviving mainly on coffee and blind optimism 😂

We’ve got lots of exciting things coming soon though and honestly can’t wait to start sharing them properly with you all.

And if anyone else is currently drowning in prep mode for trade shows or life in general… please tell us we’re not the only ones 😅

Thanks for sticking with us while life’s been a little chaotic lately 🤍

I don’t think people realise how much seeing your work copied can knock you.

Especially when you’re a small business and you’ve spent years building your own style, your voice… your whole identity really.

There was definitely a point where I thought… what’s the point?

But after feeling sorry for myself for a bit 😂 I realised I still loved creating too much to stop.

So I carried on painting.
Carried on making things.
Carried on believing that original designs made by real people still matters.

Honestly, every order, comment, share or kind message means the world when you’re an independent artist 🤍

I think people imagine artists spend all day sitting in beautiful studios painting peacefully with a coffee in hand 😂

The reality?

Most days are a mix of creativity, problem solving, spreadsheets, production files, trade show planning, emails, packaging decisions and trying to keep 700 tabs open in my brain at once 😅

But honestly… I do feel incredibly lucky that this is my job.

Everything you see from Lola Design starts as an idea, sketch, painting, sculpture or little spark in my head before it becomes a finished card, gift or wallpaper collection.

And while social media mostly shows the “pretty” side of creative businesses, there’s also a LOT of unseen work and late nights behind the scenes to bring those ideas to life.

I also truly believe creativity grows from experiencing things outside your comfort zone too… galleries, nature, travel, workshops, conversations, mistakes, experimenting, even failed ideas. It all feeds into your work somehow ✨

Anyway… these are some of the questions I get asked most often about running Lola Design 👀

Would love to know… what’s one thing people completely misunderstand about YOUR job? 👇

This started as literal scraps in my shed… 👀

No plan. No fancy materials.
Just paper, recycled bits, and a slightly unhinged idea 🐦♻️

Somewhere between “this is not going to work”
and “okay wait… this might actually be something”

…this happened ✨

A hummingbird for our trade show stand — made entirely by hand

Watch till the end, it gets better 👀
