Today we pause to say thank you🙏🙏. First of all thank you to the HR Professionals who attended our virtual International HR Day Celebration on May 20th. Your interest and support made it a reality. We raise our glass to you as we extend God's blessings and well wishes for success in your respective roles.
Thank you to Dr. Jamillah Anane, fellow HR Colleague, for ably performing the role of Co-Host. Your vibrancy and knowledge enriched our virtual experience.
Thank you to our leaders, those within the business community who took the time out as our guests to inspire us with words of wisdom and valuable insights; we raise our glasses to you. We were reminded to take full advantage of the support available through the Ministry of Labour. We felt seen and appreciated by each of our guests, and we believe you understand the role of HR today as a Strategic Partner, and the challenges we encounter in our efforts to create the needed impact within our organisations.

We received immense insights and wisdom from our guest speakers. Here are some of our takeaways:
🍎HR Professionals are the frontline architects of Industry Peace.
🍎HR Professionals would need to be resilient and able to
navigate through continuous change.
🍎We must lean heavily on our foundational framework: the
Labour Code, Workplace Policies, and our Collective Bargaining
Agreements.
🍎HR is about unlocking human potential.
🍎We are expected to support employees while protecting
organisations: Lead change while navigating resistance,
drive accountability while maintaining relationships,
Influence culture, often without direct authority.
🍎People are not separate from business strategy; people are
business strategy.
*The quality of leadership impacts performance.
*The quality of culture impacts productivity.
*The quality of communication impacts engagement.
*The quality of accountability impacts ex*****on.
🍎Buildings alone do not create excellence. • Policies alone do not
create excellence. • Technology by itself does not create
excellence. People create excellence.
🍎Sometimes your greatest contribution comes through: listening,
mentoring, encouraging, recognizing effort, showing
compassion, or creating environments where people feel
respected and valued.
🍎The organizations that thrive in the future will not necessarily
be those with the largest buildings or biggest budgets. Instead,
they will be the organizations that develop: the strongest
people, the healthiest cultures, the highest levels of trust, and
the greatest capacity for adaptability.
🍎This is not a time for HR professionals to shrink themselves but
to elevate, to strengthen business understanding, to strengthen
confidence, to strengthen leadership presence, to become more
strategic.
Finally we thank Almighty God, He faithfully guides and enables us with the wisdom, gifts and abilities to host these events. God we give you all the glory and praise!
The vision is clear, an HR Community that is strong, cohesive and united; an Association of HR Professionals in Grenada that is respected and recognised for its values and positive impact. This vision is only possible with the support of every employer and every HR professional.
We persevere!
