Today is a special day in our Sakartvelo (Georgia) ❤️
On May 26, 1918, Georgia declared its independence and established the First Democratic Republic of Georgia, marking the beginning of a new chapter in the nation's history.

Although that independence was interrupted by Soviet occupation in 1921, the spirit of freedom, resilience, and self-determination never disappeared. Those same values guided Georgia to restore its independence in 1991 and continue building a democratic and prosperous future.

Today, we celebrate not only our independence, but also the courage of those who fought for it, the generations who preserved it, and everyone working to strengthen our country every day.

Happy Independence Day, Georgia!
