🌊 ანიმაციაში ბათუმი ორ ურთიერთსაპირისპირო სამყაროდ არის წარმოდგენილი და ეხება ქალაქის აქტუალურ საკითხებს: ჰაერის დაბინძურებას, წყალდიდობებს, ნარჩენების მართვასა და მწვანე სივრცეების სიმწირეს. თემები ადგილობრივი მოსახლეობის ონლაინ გამოკითხვას დაეფუძნა.

💡 „ეკო-გმირი“ აერთიანებს შემოქმედებით თხრობას, გარემოსდაცვით განათლებასა და ახალგაზრდების ჩართულობას და აჩვენებს, როგორ ხდება რთული თემები ემოციურად ახლობელი და გასაგები.

ანიმაცია ფართო საზოგადოებამ აჭარის საზოგადოებრივი მაუწყებლისა და სოციალური მედიის საშუალებით იხილა. ავტორები სამომავლოდ ახალ ეპიზოდებსა და მობილურ აპლიკაციას გეგმავენ.

🌿 Another City Challenge story from Batumi: "Eco Hero"

✨ Local innovators Teona Gorgoshadze and Koba Partenadze chose an unconventional way to spark public conversation about urban sustainability: an animated educational video.

🌊 The animation portrays Batumi as two contrasting worlds and addresses the city's pressing issues, from air pollution and flooding to waste management and the lack of green spaces, all based on responses from an online survey of local residents.

💡 Eco Hero combines creative storytelling, environmental education, and youth engagement, showing how complex sustainability concepts can become emotionally relatable.

The animation reached a wide audience through Adjara Public Broadcaster and social media. The creators are now planning new episodes and a mobile app.

ადგილობრივმა გუნდმა ციფრული სისტემა შექმნა, რომელიც ქალაქში განთავსებულ შემგროვებელ ურნებს უკავშირდება: მომხმარებლები ნარჩენების განთავსებამდე QR კოდს სკანირებენ და ხუთსაფეხურიან ინტერაქტიულ თამაშში ერთვებიან.

♻️ კომპანია „კერესთან“ თანამშრომლობით ქალაქის ხუთ ლოკაციაზე შესაგროვებელი ურნები განთავსდა, პლატფორმამ კი ერთმანეთთან დააკავშირა მაცხოვრებლები, შეგროვების ინფრასტრუქტურა და გადამამუშავებლები.

💡 „Smart Poti“ აერთიანებს საგანმანათლებლო, ციფრულ და გარემოსდაცვით ფუნქციებს და აჩვენებს, როგორ ხდება ნარჩენების დახარისხება ვალდებულების ნაცვლად სასიამოვნო ყოველდღიურ ჩვევად.

🌿 Another Urban Challenges story from Poti: "Smart Poti"

A local team built a digital system connected to the city's recycling bins: users scan a QR code before separating their waste and enter a five-stage interactive game.

♻️ In cooperation with the company Kere, collection bins were placed at five locations across the city, and the platform now links residents, recycling infrastructure, and waste processors.

💡Smart Poti combines educational, digital, and environmental functions, showing how waste separation can turn from an obligation into an everyday habit people actually enjoy.

🚀 The model is simple and adaptable. Looking ahead, the team plans to expand the game, add new levels, and introduce similar systems in other municipalities.

🌿ურბანული გამოწვევების კიდევ ერთი ისტორია ბათუმიდან: „ეკო-სივრცე“

ბათუმის N16 საჯარო სკოლის მოსწავლეებმა სკოლის დირექტორთან ერთად სკოლის გარემო ცოცხალ ეკო-ლაბორატორიად აქციეს, სადაც გარემოსდაცვითი ცოდნა ყოველდღიურ პრაქტიკად იქცევა.

🌱 მოსწავლეებმა თავად გაამწვანეს სკოლის ეზო, შიდა სივრცეში კი ბიოფილური დიზაინის პრინციპებით შექმნეს მწვანე ბიბლიოთეკა და ცოცხალი მწვანე კედელი, სადაც მცენარეებზე ზრუნავენ და ჰაერის ხარისხს აკვირდებიან.

💡 ეკო-სივრცე აერთიანებს საგანმანათლებლო, რეკრეაციულ და ეკოლოგიურ ფუნქციებს და აჩვენებს, როგორ შეიძლება სკოლა იქცეს ადგილად, სადაც გარემოზე ზრუნვა ბუნებრივად ყალიბდება.

🌿 Another City Challenge story from Batumi: the "Eco Space"

Together with their school director, students at Batumi Public School N16 turned their school environment into a living eco lab where environmental knowledge becomes everyday practice.

🌱 Students greened the schoolyard themselves and, following biophilic design principles, created an indoor space with a green library and a living green wall where they care for plants and track air quality.

💡 The Eco Space combines educational, recreational, and environmental functions, showing how schools can become places where care for the environment grows naturally.

🚀 The pilot is already spreading to other schools, and the team has developed a yearly activity plan to guide teachers and students in activities linked to the Sustainable Development Goals.

💨 ადგილობრივმა აქტიურმა მოქალაქეებმა, ჟურნალისტებმა და გარემოსდაცვითი მიმართულების პროფესორმა ერთად სათემო ჯგუფი ჩამოაყალიბეს, რათა ჰაერის ხარისხი ქუთაისელებისთვის ხილულ და გასაგებ საკითხად ექციათ.

🔬 ჰაერის ხარისხის მონიტორინგის მოწყობილობები აკაკი წერეთლის სახელმწიფო უნივერსიტეტის ქიმიური და გარემოსდაცვითი ტექნოლოგიების დეპარტამენტს გადაეცა და დღეს სტუდენტურ კვლევებსა და პრაქტიკულ სწავლებას ემსახურება.

📣საჯარო ლექციებმა და რეგიონულ მედია პლატფორმა Info Imereti-სთან ერთად განხორციელებულმა კამპანიამ მოქალაქეებს გააცნო ღია მონაცემებზე დაფუძნებული პლატფორმა air.gov.ge და ის მარტივი ქმედებები, რომლებიც გარემოზე ზემოქმედებას ამცირებს.

🌿 Another City Challenge story from Kutaisi: "A City That Breathes Clean"

💨 A group of active local citizens, two journalists and a professor of environmental studies among them, formed a community group to make air quality a visible and understandable issue for the city.

🔬 Air-quality monitoring devices were transferred to the Department of Chemical and Environmental Technologies at Akaki Tsereteli State University, where they now support student research and hands-on learning.

📣 Public lectures and a campaign with the regional media platform Info Imereti introduced residents to the open-source monitoring platform air.gov.ge and to simple everyday actions that reduce environmental impact.

The initiative combines educational, research, and environmental functions, showing how citizen-driven ideas can help address urban challenges through knowledge, participation, and practical experimentation.

🎬 ფოთის #5 საჯარო სკოლის მოსწავლეებმა სკოლის გამოუყენებელი სივრცე საერთო თავშეყრის ადგილად გარდაქმნეს, სადაც ფილმის ყურება მხოლოდ დასაწყისია.

რეგულარული კინოჩვენებების შემდეგ იმართება დისკუსიები ქართულ კინოზე, გარემოსდაცვით, მდგრადი განვითარებისა და სოციალურ საკითხებზე. სივრცეში ასევე ტარდება მცირე სემინარები და არაფორმალური შეხვედრები.

💡 „კინოკლუბი“ აერთიანებს საგანმანათლებლო, კულტურულ და სოციალურ ფუნქციებს და აჩვენებს, როგორ ხდება სწავლა უფრო ღია და თანამშრომლობაზე დაფუძნებული, როდესაც სივრცეს თავად მოსწავლეები ქმნიან.

🌿 Another City Challenges story from Poti: the "Cinema Club"

🎬 Students at the 5th Public School turned an unused area of their school into a shared gathering space where watching a film is only the beginning.

Regular screenings are followed by discussions on Georgian cinema and on environmental, sustainability, and social issues. The space now also hosts small workshops and informal gatherings.

💡 The Cinema Club combines educational, cultural, and social functions, showing how learning becomes more open and collaborative when students shape the space themselves.

🚀 Looking ahead, the team plans to screen more films, broaden the range of topics, involve more students, and inspire similar spaces in other schools.

Արմեն Գրիգորյանը միանում է PMCG-ին՝ որպես ավագ խորհրդատու։

2018–2026 թթ. նա զբաղեցրել է Հայաստանի Հանրապետության Անվտանգության խորհրդի քարտուղարի պաշտոնը՝ համակարգելով ազգային անվտանգության և արտաքին քաղաքականության ոլորտներում աշխատանքները, միջգերատեսչական համագործակցությունը, ինչպես նաև մասնակցելով բարձր մակարդակի միջազգային բանակցություններին և ռազմավարական երկխոսություններին։ 2021 թվականին նա զբաղեցրել է արտաքին գործերի նախարարի պաշտոնակատարի պաշտոնը։

Նրա մասնագիտական գործունեության առանցքային ուղղություններից են եղել Հարավային Կովկասի առջև ծառացած առավել բարդ խնդիրները՝ երկխոսությունն ու բանակցությունները, տարածաշրջանային անվտանգությունը, հակամարտությունների կարգավորումը, ինչպես նաև տարածաշրջանում խաղաղության և կայունության ամրապնդմանն ուղղված գործընթացները։

PMCG-ում Արմեն Գրիգորյանն արդեն ներգրավված է TRIPP-ի տեխնիկատնտեսական հիմնավորման աշխատանքներում։ Նախաձեռնությունն ուղղված է Հայաստանի տարածքով տարածաշրջանային կապակցվածության ամրապնդմանը և տարածաշրջանային համագործակցության, խաղաղության ու բարգավաճման համար նոր հնարավորությունների ստեղծմանը։

Հանրային ծառայությանը զուգահեռ և դրանից հետո Արմեն Գրիգորյանը շարունակել է զբաղվել հետազոտական, վերլուծական և ակադեմիական գործունեությամբ։ Սեպտեմբերի 5-ին տեղի է ունեցել նրա նոր գրքի շնորհանդեսը։

Armen Grigoryan joins PMCG as Senior Advisor.

From 2018-2026 he served as Secretary of the Security Council of the Republic of Armenia, coordinating work in the fields of national security and foreign policy, as well as interagency cooperation, and taking part in high level international negotiations and strategic dialogues. In 2021 he served as Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs.

Among the central directions of his professional work have been the most complex challenges facing the South Caucasus, including dialogue and negotiation, regional security, conflict resolution, as well as the processes aimed at strengthening peace and stability in the region.

At PMCG, Armen Grigoryan is already involved in the TRIPP feasibility assessment. The initiative aims to strengthen regional connectivity through Armenia and to create new opportunities for regional cooperation, peace and prosperity.

Alongside and after his public service, Armen Grigoryan has continued his research, analytical and academic work. On September 5 the presentation of his new book took place.

⚡ ბათუმის ქართულ-ამერიკულ სკოლაში მოსწავლეებმა ექსპერიმენტული პლატფორმა შექმნეს, რომელიც ადამიანის ნაბიჯს, ანუ მექანიკურ მოძრაობას, ელექტროენერგიად გარდაქმნის.

🛠️ გენერატორის ნაწილები 3D პრინტერზე დაბეჭდეს და საკუთარი ხელით ააწყვეს: 16 ფილა, 20 ხელნაკეთი გენერატორი და მართვის სისტემა, რომელიც გამომუშავებულ ენერგიას ეკრანზე რეალურ დროში აჩვენებს.

💡 „ენერგობიჯი“ აერთიანებს საგანმანათლებლო, საინჟინრო და გარემოსდაცვით ფუნქციებს და აჩვენებს, როგორ ხდება განახლებადი ენერგია ხელშესახები და თვალსაჩინო გამოცდილება.

⚡ At the Batumi Georgian-American School, students built an experimental platform that converts human movement into electricity.

🛠️ They printed the generator parts on a 3D printer and assembled everything by hand: 16 surface tiles, 20 handmade generators, and a control system that displays the energy produced in real time.

💡 Energo-Step combines educational, engineering, and environmental functions, showing how renewable energy can become a visible and tangible experience.

🚀 Looking ahead, the team plans to increase the system's capacity, expand the model across the city, and host educational visits for students from other schools.

საქართველოს ცენტრალური ადგილი უკავია ტრანსკასპიურ საერთაშორისო სატრანსპორტო მარშრუტზე (შუა დერეფანი), რომელიც აზიისა და ევროპის დამაკავშირებელ ერთ-ერთ მნიშვნელოვან სატრანზიტო მარშრუტს წარმოადგენს. ჩვენი პუბლიკაცია აანალიზებს 2018-2025 წლებში საქართველოს გავლით სატრანზიტო ტვირთების ნაკადებს, მათ შორის მთლიან სატრანზიტო მოცულობებს, შუა დერეფნის ტვირთბრუნვას, საავტომობილო და სარკინიგზო გადაზიდვების შედარებას, ასევე ინფრასტრუქტურულ ინვესტიციებს, რომლებიც დერეფნის გამტარუნარიანობის ზრდას განსაზღვრავს.

ძირითადი მიგნებები:

🔸 2018-2025 წლებში საქართველოს გავლით სატრანზიტო ტვირთების მთლიანი მოცულობა გაორმაგდა და 13.7 მილიონ ტონას მიაღწია. ტვირთბრუნვის ყველაზე მაღალი მაჩვენებელი 2024 წელს დაფიქსირდა და 15.1 მილიონი ტონა შეადგინა.

🔸 2025 წელს აღმოსავლეთ-დასავლეთის მარშრუტი კვლავ მთავარ სატრანზიტო მიმართულებად დარჩა და მთლიან სატრანზიტო ტვირთბრუნვაში მისი წილი 69.7%-ს შეადგენდა.

🔸 2018-2025 წლებში საქართველოს გავლით შუა დერეფანში სატრანზიტო ტვირთების მოცულობა გაორმაგდა და 4.6 მილიონ ტონას მიაღწია. ყველაზე მაღალი მაჩვენებელი 2022 წელს დაფიქსირდა — 5.0 მილიონი ტონა.

🔸 შუა დერეფნის ტვირთბრუნვა ძირითადად რეგიონულ ვაჭრობაზეა კონცენტრირებული. ტვირთების წარმოშობისა და დანიშნულების ქვეყნების განაწილება მიუთითებს, რომ 2025 წელს შუა დერეფნის გავლით სატრანზიტო გადაზიდვებს ძირითადად რეგიონული ვაჭრობა განაპირობებდა და არა ჩინეთსა და ევროპას შორის შორ მანძილზე გადაზიდვები.

This publication analyzes transit cargo flows through Georgia from 2018 to 2025, covering total transit volumes, Middle Corridor flows, road and rail comparison, and the infrastructure investments shaping the corridor's capacity.

🔸 From 2018 to 2025, total transit cargo flows through Georgia more than doubled, reaching 13.7 million tonnes. Cargo flows reached their peak in 2024, amounting to 15.1 million tonnes.

🔸 The East–West route remained the dominant transit path in 2025, with a 69.7% share of total transit cargo.

🔸 Transit cargo flows along the Middle Corridor through Georgia doubled between 2018 and 2025, reaching 4.6 million tonnes. The highest volume was recorded in 2022, at 5.0 million tonnes.

🔸 Middle Corridor flows are concentrated in regional trade. The distribution of origins and destinations suggests that Middle Corridor transit in 2025 was driven mainly by regional trade rather than by long-distance China–Europe flows.

ქალაქის ცენტრალურ ბიბლიოთეკასთან ახალგაზრდებმა მიტოვებული ოთახი საკუთარი ხელით მოაწესრიგეს და ღია სამუშაო სივრცედ აქციეს, სადაც ნარჩენების გადამუშავება თეორიიდან რეალურ პროცესად იქცევა.

🖨️ 3D პრინტერებისა და პროტოტიპირების ხელსაწყოების გამოყენებით მოსწავლეებმა უკვე ათობით მცირე პროტოტიპი შექმნეს და პლასტმასაში ერთჯერადი ნარჩენის ნაცვლად ახალი პროდუქტების პოტენციალი დაინახეს.

„ეკო გული“ აერთიანებს საგანმანათლებლო, შემოქმედებით და გარემოსდაცვით ფუნქციებს და აჩვენებს, როგორ ხდება ცირკულარული ეკონომიკა ხელშესახები ყოველდღიური გამოცდილება.

🌿 Another Urban Challenges story from Poti: "EcoGuli"

Near the city's central library, students cleaned up and rebuilt a neglected room themselves, turning it into a shared working space where recycling becomes a process they can follow step by step.

🖨️ Using 3D printers and prototyping tools, they have already developed dozens of small prototypes, learning to see plastic not as disposable waste but as a material with potential.

EcoGuli combines educational, creative, and environmental functions, showing how the circular economy can become a tangible everyday experience.

🚀 Looking ahead, the team plans to bring workshops to schools and universities, open a plastic collection point in the city, and add new prototyping tools.

The initiative was implemented through the Urban Challenges Programme, supported by UNDP and the Government of Denmark, in cooperation with PMCG.
