The auction raised more than £98,000 for Autism Guernsey and the GSPCA

Since then, Puffy has been Archie's sidekick at the GRG sites, raising awareness of recycling, as well as autism

GRG's relationship with Guernsey Employment Trust 💙

GRG signed up to the Guernsey Employment Trust (GET) Employment Charter in 2019, in order to adapt its businesses, HR processes, and working environments to ensure that prospective candidates can take advantage of opportunities within the recycling industry

Barriers to employment are not solely physical: candidates may experience difficulty in accessing employment opportunities due to autism, dyslexia, lack of confidence, or hearing or visual impairments

In 2022, GRG won the GET Employer of the Month for providing opportunities and having a flexible approach to removing barriers for disabled people, and supporting Autism Guernsey to champion the business case for diversity throughout Guernsey’s business community

The auction raised more than £73,000 for Autism Guernsey and the Guernsey Adult Literacy Project

Wilf the Christmas Recycling Elf! 🧝

Wilf has joined the Galaxy team to recycle all the old toys and mobile phones this Christmas

Wilf will be out and about over the festive period collecting electrical waste around the island, then checking every item for batteries, so that they can be recycled safely…

Look out for Wilf as we train him up for his new role 👀

Due to adverse weather conditions and in line with States of Guernsey Guidance, all GRG sites including Mayside, Island Waste Pointes Lane and Bulwer Avenue, and Guernsey Recycling Scrap Metal will be closed on Thursday 2nd November. We intend to reopen on Friday 3rd November.
