I showed a room full of entrepreneurs a picture of a table.
With the Arsenal Football Club crest above it.
And the words "Your Team" below

Half the room laughed.
Half the room felt it.

Either way — everyone remembered it.
That was the point.

It was an Orange Corners masterclass I delivered on aka the art of how to walk into a room and actually be remembered — not just met.

It was January. The Premier League season still had everything to play for.
And that's exactly where most of these entrepreneurs were too — early, uncertain, with talent but not yet trophies.

So I made the connection:
"Whether you're a Gooner, a jealous London club fan, or someone who has never watched a single match in your life — you just saw that slide and something happened in your head.

That's networking.
I didn't need you to love football. I just needed to give you something that would live rent-free in your mind and enable me to be remembered."

The people who get remembered aren't the ones with the best pitch. They're the ones who walk in with conviction. With a point of view. With something worth repeating at dinner after the event.

A laugh. A take. A slide with a table and a football crest.

The best networkers and the best clubs share three things:
⚽ They have an identity. You always know what you're getting. Consistency is credibility.
⚽They build for the long game. January is not May. Don't let early results write the final story.
⚽They make people feel something. Passion is memorable. Passion with direction is unstoppable.

To every entrepreneur still in their 'January; — still building, still believing, still in it:
Keep playing your game. The table isn't final yet.

🔴 Smash share if you're a
And if you're not a Gooner… share it anyway. The lesson still applies. 😉

Newton’s Orbit: Another Year, Deeper Impact, Wider Horizons

As I enter a new chapter, I’m reminded that growth isn’t measured by milestones, but by the people, places, and purpose that shape the journey.

This year was filled with   , , , and breakthroughs; I pause to honour the motion behind the momentum.

I’m grateful for the people I’ve been able to impact this year — and grounded by people I disappointed and the moments where I could have done better. Both sides of the journey shape my evolution.

I’ve watched mentees graduate, secure dream roles, step boldly into new countries, prepare for weddings and parenthood, and sign international contracts that once lived only in their dreams. Each milestone has added new momentum to the journey and clarity to the path ahead.

This year carried me across Europe, around Africa, into the US, and back home again. I reconnected with old friends, built new alliances, and entered new phases of my personal and professional life. Through it all, the unwavering presence of family — especially those who gave me life — remains my strongest foundation.

I’m energised by the projects ahead, confident in the value we are building, and grateful for everyone who continues to walk this journey with me - those in the front lines with me, others advising me in private and those that bring up my name in rooms I am not in.

The centre of gravity is moving toward larger visions, transformative projects, and a future designed with intention.

As the African proverb reminds us: “When the roots are deep, there is no reason to fear the wind.”

Here’s to building deeper roots, stronger bridges, and a future shaped with intention.

🌍💡 What if Rwanda stored its health data in Ghana? Or Ghana backed up its trade systems in Rwanda?
Not in Europe. Not in the U.S. But right here in Africa.

In our latest article in B&FT Ghana, Frank and I explore whether data embassies — a concept inspired by the Vienna Convention — could unlock Africa’s next big opportunity.

This isn’t just about servers. It’s about:
⚡ Sovereignty as a business model
⚡ Building trust corridors across Africa
⚡ Creating new markets for cloud, fintech & digital trade
⚡ Protecting national data like gold

📖 We respond to a paper by CERTA Foundation & Carnegie Mellon Africa that asks: can data embassies become commercial reality?

🔥 The Vienna Convention protected diplomats with walls — the next convention will protect nations with firewalls. Africa has the chance to lead it.

🎨💡 and have always been at the core of my journey.

From backing Ghanaian musicians and filmmakers through SUYA - Show Us Your Art, to sharing insights at CIMIx in Austria on creative tech from Ghana, to standing in front of artworks by Ghanaian artists in Austrian museums like MQ – MuseumsQuartier Wien and Schloss Belvedere — I’ve seen how African creativity resonates globally when paired with entrepreneurial drive.

That’s why I’m thrilled to be part of the Creative Entrepreneurs Forum (CEF) – ALX Ghana Edition, under the theme:
“The Business of Creativity: Rights, Revenues and Real Impact.”

For me, CEF is more than a forum — it’s a framework:
🔑 C – Creativity as capital
🔑 E – Entrepreneurship as the engine
🔑 F – Future-focused opportunities

This edition will tackle the tough but exciting questions:

How do we create sustainable platforms for African creatives?
think - Wi-flix

How can we protect intellectual property and ensure ownership?

What does it take to scale creative tech into global opportunities?
think AnimaxFYB Studios content on Prime Video & Amazon MGM Studios or Leti Arts working with US and German game studios

As an and , I believe this is the perfect blend: creativity igniting ideas, and entrepreneurship turning those ideas into scalable ventures with impact.

👉 Join us at ALX GHANA — connect with innovators, founders, and creative entrepreneurs shaping Africa’s next wave.

💬 I’d love to hear your thoughts: What do you believe is the biggest opportunity — or the biggest challenge — for Africa’s creative entrepreneurs today?

Is climate change affecting you yet?

I had the opportunity to speak at the Agriculture Innovation for Africa conference, where I reflected on how, as a youth, we spoke about ‘global warming’ as a distant future issue. Fast forward to today, and the reality of climate change is undeniable.

Every year, the weatherman states, ‘This is the hottest year on record.’
🥵🥵🥵

But it’s more than just heat.

🌲🔥 Forest fires have been raging in , , and at unprecedented scales and intensities, fueled by record-breaking heatwaves and prolonged droughts. What were once seasonal fires have now become relentless infernos,

🌊Floods have devastated , , – and even is experiencing bizarrely cold weather alongside severe droughts. Meanwhile, just a few miles further north, countries including and are battling some of the worst floods in recent memory displacing 1 million people.

🪸🐚 The world's coral reefs, including the iconic , are dying at an alarming rate, and we’re losing them faster than most people realize. Coral bleaching is one of the most devastating consequences of climate change and we are watching entire ecosystems fade before our eyes.

What once seemed extraordinary is now disturbingly routine.🤯

This is our new normal???

I’m curious, how has climate change impacted your life, your work, or your community?
And more importantly, what steps can we take together to mitigate these impacts before it’s too late?🌪️❄️💦🔥

Let’s start the conversation – because waiting is no longer an option.

"How can AfCFTA transform the landscape for small and medium enterprises in Africa?"

Having worked in international trade, I’ve seen firsthand how SMEs benefit from increased sales overseas. My experience, including my time at the in Abuja, has shown me the real impact of trade on entrepreneurs' lives and businesses.

Recently, I joined Patricia Ansong in a discussion about how AfCFTA can benefit Ghanaian agri-entrepreneurs. This agreement provides a valuable opportunity to access new markets, reduce trade barriers, and foster collaboration across the continent.

At the International Trade Centre (ITC), we are dedicated to "transforming trade and changing lives." We focus on helping SMEs navigate these opportunities and challenges with practical support and guidance.

If you’re an entrepreneur, take a moment to consider how AfCFTA could impact your business. I encourage you to reach out for support, engage with industry peers, and explore the resources available to you. Let’s work together to navigate this new landscape and build a brighter future for our businesses and communities.

What are you believing in? What levels of faith do you need to take your concept to the next level?

At the 2024 Believers in Business conference earlier in the year hosted by Maurice, I shared the inspiring journey of the founder of Melanie Perkins — a company that faced over 100 rejections before securing the funding they needed. Today, Canva is a household name, a tool many of us use without a second thought. But we often forget the grit, determination, and sheer faith it took to bring their vision to life.

Faith in business is not just about a belief in your product; it's about holding onto that belief when the world says "no." It's about pushing through the struggles, the rejections, and the doubts. Canva’s success is a powerful reminder that even the most impactful companies started with a simple, unwavering belief.

Now, Canva has grown so much that they are able to give back through their foundation, making a positive impact globally. But their journey was far from easy.

So, what are you believing in? What levels of faith will it take to turn your concept into a reality?
