Prince's Town, also known as ‘Princess Town’, and by its local name ‘Pokesu’ or ‘Bokaso’, is best known as the site of the elegant Brandenburg-built Fort Gross Friedrichsburg, constructed in 1683. The once-ruined Fort Gross Friedrichsburg has been partially restored, and it now serves as a tourist attraction and a rest house.
Prince's Town, located in Ghana, West Africa, also shares a sister-city relationship with Fredericksburg, Virginia in the United States. has one of the most beautiful beaches in Ghana.
Fredericksburg officially announced ‘Fredericksburg-Ghana’s Friendship Day,’ at a ceremony on Wednesday, March 6, 2024, held at the St. George Episcopal Church Fellowship Hall in Fredericksburg, Commonwealth of Virginia.
