Perched 1,500 feet up on the cool Akuapem-Togo mountains, just 30 minutes from Accra, Aburi is not just a garden. It is a living museum.

For our African-American family, it was emotional — standing under medicinal plants our ancestors knew, learning their Ghanaian names and healing uses. For our Ghanaian family, it was a rediscovery of a treasure in our own backyard.
