As a part of VA250, Fredericksburg’s sister cities are jointly presenting a series of lectures that focus on the contributions of the sister city countries to the cultural fabric of America, which include France, Ghana, Germany, Italy, and Nepal. The sister city group is partnering with the City of Fredericksburg and the Central Rappahannock Regional Library (CRRL).

Prince's Town, also known as ‘Princess Town’, and by its local name ‘Pokesu’ or ‘Bokaso’, is best known as the site of the elegant Brandenburg-built Fort Gross Friedrichsburg, constructed in 1683. The once-ruined Fort Gross Friedrichsburg has been partially restored, and it now serves as a tourist attraction and a rest house.
Prince's Town, located in Ghana, West Africa, also shares a sister-city relationship with Fredericksburg, Virginia in the United States. has one of the most beautiful beaches in Ghana.
Fredericksburg officially announced ‘Fredericksburg-Ghana’s Friendship Day,’ at a ceremony on Wednesday, March 6, 2024, held at the St. George Episcopal Church Fellowship Hall in Fredericksburg, Commonwealth of Virginia.

The 9th Pan-African Congress will take place Dec 8–12 in Lomé, Togo, marking the first gathering of its kind in three decades following a long delay. Sierra Leone’s new national airline, Air Sierra Leone, has commenced operations on Dec. 2 with a route to the UK for the first time since 2016. The carrier’s inaugural flight will connect Lungi International Airport with London Gatwick Airport.
