A man called Jack purchased a new house. A two bedroom flat
He notices he can’t find some things
He brushes it off, thinking it will be in the house somewhere
Jack notices a dog sniffing through the some bush and a little heap of sand behind the wall of his house
Boom!! There is a hole in the wall, very low but wide enough for a desperate human to crawl through. Yet it is not easily noticeable. It has been covered with a rough concrete block.
Jack goes inside the house; he realizes that part of the house is the mini farm and he only waters the plants with a sprinkler. Apparently the mini farm belongs to the former owner of the house but Jack felt the need to still keep it.
The plants on the farm have covered up that hole, making the hole unnoticeable from the inside as well.
He reports the situation to the police
Upon investigation and inspection of his property, he is advised to get a security assessment consultant
Advice from the Risk Assessment Consultant: The bedroom setup makes it easy for even unarmed thieves to steal valuables while standing outside the window, the bathroom window is always open, may need to get a security guard(s) or an alarm system, etc..
Sometimes, it might not be enough to employ the service of a security guard, it is necessary to seek the help of security professionals for risk assessment of your property. There may be an insignificant shortcoming or loophole that one may not notice, which can lead to a bigger problem in the future if not dealt with.
