We are ambivalent about systems.
We have a natural progression towards disorder and randomness.

Perhaps it’s because we accurately sense the injustice in the world systems and/or are comfortable with being in a state where we do not need to exert time and resources to better ourselves and organizations that although may not thrive, stay afloat due to past successes.
But to stay afloat is not enough. Deep inside we acknowledge the need to upgrade. We are ready to learn, although we do not like being taught.

Livestock production currently contributes about 35% of agricultural GDP in Sub Saharan Africa
Livestock production can contribute to poverty reduction in various ways. It can increase food supply, serve as a source of income and a means for capital accumulation, generate employment, etc.

Two people are in a river. One is just floating on a raft, unable to predict what is coming, because they aren’t looking around and aren’t doing anything to move or steer. The other person is in a kayak, looking for the path they want, and actively steering and moving themselves to that point.

Which one is predicting the future by inventing it? Which is more likely to be surprised at where they end up?
