On behalf of we want to say a huge thank you to all our astute speakers, event participants, and everyone who made our seminar a success. This was our second event since we embarked on this journey in January of this year to support small and medium enterprises through training and capacity building. We must say there is nothing more powerful than the heart, soul, intention, dedication and hard work invested into making a project grow. This was our second step into the many that will be taken even generations after us. Thank you once again.

Are you tired of talking about Ghana's problems and wondering when great ideas will turn into action? Well meet Jeffery Boakye Appiagyei. He will be sharing his journey, lessons and practical steps (financing, management, etc) which he has used to grow his business in Ghana and Africa.
From his time as a student at KNUST he has led several projects to build and design machinery for farmers in Ghana and other parts of Africa. After graduation, Jeffrey served for a year as an elementary teacher and mentor in a rural community without electricity in Northern Ghana. During that year, he helped raise funds to build a solar powered library that serves over 900 pupils in seven communities. He observed during his year that parents usually came for their children during class hours to thresh their grain in the harvest season. This greatly disheartened him and he decided that making machines locally would be of great help to students in areas like these across Africa. He convinced a friend to join him in this endeavor and they began designing machines that could solve the problem. Their team became bigger with a few more resourceful additions and they set up the company SAYeTECH in 2018.
They have also won two international awards: the 2019 America Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) ISHOW Kenya; for a start-up with the most social impact, and the AB Afrikpreneur Award; for Innovation of the Year.

We are excited to announce our next SMEs training seminar which will be taking place next month. This is our last seminar of the year. We will be engaging with 4 key experts from diverse business backgrounds to share their real stories and give practical solutions small and medium sized enterprises can use to grow and expand their business in the domestic and continental market. Ghanaian SME's which contribute to almost 70% of our GDP and cater to almost 90% of employment have been facing several challenges which was further exacerbated by the COVID-19 pandemic. The purpose of this seminar is to look at ways to surmount these issues which include lack of access to financing, inadequate managerial skills and understanding consumer behavior. This is a session you don't want to miss.
