HISTORY OF ARIG
The Advocacy Research Intelligence Group (ARIG) is a non partisan and non – profit making organization with the mission of fighting for peace and justice. Advocacy research intelligence group seeks to fulfills its mission by organizing lecture, debate s symposium, door to door interaction, rallies street education and research. ARIG was established i

n May 2012 by four young individuals who happened to have attended the same junior high school. Their idea came about in the year 2008 when their country Ghana was about to have their 5th Elections at that time there was a little bit of political tension in the country so they had the idea of creating and NGO which will campaign for peace and bring a little calmness in the country even though there were other NGOs in the country who were doing that, they felt their method of campaigning for peace was a little different from what was already being done. However as time went on a little bit of calmness returned to the country so they felt the other NGOs have done a fantastic job so why set up an NGO to do the work which is being done effectively, in 2012 the political tension return again pending election so the group cam e together again to ask their self what is going on, are we always going to have political tension in the country whenever we are about to have election? What can we do to make the political tension if not eradicated, minimized in a bearable state during and after elections, hence the establishment of ARIG. Currently the NGO is being funded by the directors of the NGO.

NEW VOTER'S REGISTER
Advocacy Research Intelligence Group - ARIG

The Advocacy Research Intelligence Group (ARIG) has not hasten to take a stand either in favour of the EC of Ghana of which Jean Mensah is Chairperson and Dr. Bossman Asare as deputy. We waited to know the decision of the legislature which is an embodiment of all of us ordinary Ghanaians. The C.I. 126 has been approved to guide the 2020 December 7 election and the instrument has come at an opportune time to enhance our Electoral system.
Ghana have used C.I. 12, C.I. 72, C.I.91 and now C.I. 126 all the better the election system. Knowingly or unknowingly, the then ten regions of Ghana has changed to sixteen regions and for that matter the coding on the voter's ID cards must change, it is in view of this that the decision to do a New Voters register was born.
The other matter is that there fake voter's ID cards in the system that needs to be cleared, also the issue of dead people or ghost names must be cleared as well.
The NDC's position on maintaining the old voter's ID card is expected of them. Their unique style of deceiving the public and spewing liars at the ordinary Ghanaian has been exhibited and their inability to accept progress has been executed in the name of rule of law by sending the EC to court, but their propaganda will not work.
Their implant of Apostle w**d has been exposed and their choose of JDM was flawed from day one. Their antidemocratic tactics are not working so they resort to hypocrisy.
The ploy to describe disturb the peace of Ghana fought for by our forefather can not be toppled.
ARIG therefore solicit all civil society organization and groups to communicate on this issue and support the EC and President Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo Addo to be resolute in upholding the peace of Ghana.
Ladies and gentlemen, let us go out in our numbers to register for the New voter's ID.
Thank you
God bless Ghana

This Corona Virus has caused a great pool of inflicting measures across the global, it leaves no stone unturned. Ghana and Africa is the least place this virus should thrive, it is in this vein that we at Advocacy Research Intelligence Group are keen on advising everyone to be careful in they day to day activities.
Citizens are advised to have hand sanitizers, tissues, handkerchief, and a bottle of water.
The Government of Ghana and the ministry of Health are working in relation to avoid the spread of COVID-19.
An Amount of $2.5million has been allocated to that effect and a budgeted $100million for fighting this virus.
Isolation centers have been created with expert doctors ready to fight this sickness.
We are hopeful this virus will not thrive in this hot whether condition, that notwithstanding we should be careful in all our dealings.

Thank you.

"YES or NO vote Referendum"

The indecision on some Ghanaians is premise on whether the yes vote or the No vote will be to the benefit of the general masses or not?
Our question is, what is the origin of the 1992 Constitution in relationship with the governance structure of Ghana. Of late the partisan political structure is sabotage and abhorrent to the ordinary Ghanaian voter. Promises are not kept and development is squished to a certain angle.
To me what culminated to the decision to vote yes or no' that is the Article 55(3) and 243(1) are decisions all three political parties that is NDC, NPP, PPP spoke extensively about and a consensus built upon to Vote for Yes on the 17th December 2019. A total number of 40% of registered voters must turn out and 75% of the total vote cast must vote Yes, the sudden turn around of the NDC predicts that it is difficult to get 75% of the total vote cast.
Now, why you must vote YES. The framers of the constitution during the PNDC erra had one party state and there was no reason to vote for MMDCEs or DCEs, fast forward 2019 we as a nation are a multiparty state and is better to give other political parties the opportunity to contest election at the lowest local level where campaign budgets are low.
Ladies and gentleman, the ball is in your court decide for the future of Ghana. Make your leaders accountable.
Thank you

We are sad about the turn of event of the Takoradi Missing Girls/Kidnapped. It is rather unfortunate the DNA results proved to be them, we at Advocacy Research Intelligence Group - ARIG wanted to hear the opposite.
This is to entreat the Police and the Security agency to change their strategy. This incident could have been avoided. We joke with our security too much as a country. The influx of foreigners in our country comes with some business and economic benefit, but threatened Security is it's side effect.
We entreat the appropriate authorities to be very sophisticated.
Thank you.

We the members of Advocacy Research Intelligence Group - ARIG formed in 2012 do empathize with the bereaved Foreign Nationals in South Africa and deem it fit to condemn the actions of the so called South Africans who embarked on this gruesome xenophobic attacks. This is uncalled for and unwarranted. Their actions must be condemned by all and sundry, since it is becoming too many an action on their part to brutalize their own fellow Africans. This is not African at all, we say!!!
On 3rd September, 2019, images of brutalities sprung up on the internet and on the Social Media with no specific merit or course to which these actions were taken against these Foreign Nationals. There were later allegations of fake products being sold by these foreign nationals, if that even be the case, are there not proper institutions established to regulate the influx of fake products?
In as much as there are no jobs and some people unemployed in the South African country, the ideal hands have found something to do and this is criminal in all standards. In the plough to salvage the situation, the National Association of Nigerian Students President, Danielson Bamidele Akpan has given a 7 day ultimatum to South African Businesses to leave Nigeria. This action too needs to be addressed in the most diplomatic manner without causing bilateral rifts between both Nigeria and South Africa. The consequence are quiet alarming, and the ripple effects on Ghana and other African countries are earthquaking.
We therefore call on the African Union to martial all its intelligence to delve into the matter as soon as possible to prevent security bridges in Ghana and Africa as a whole.
Moreover, the businesses and investments that this xenophobic attacks will cause are gruesome.
Our members therefore send a solidarity message to all foreign nationals in South Africa and to all Nigerians to maintain their cool and let the powers that be solve the problems arising peacefully without scratching the wounds

Ana's vs Nyantakyi
It is a sad story for GFA, Ghanaian Football and the African persona. I begin to wonder the interest that BBC had in the Number 12 of Anas's exposé, undoubtedly money was not a motivation for the BBC. Well, could reference be made to the "flying Cash" of Brazil world cup?
Anas did a fantastic job at his journalistic piece, but Nyantakyi cannot be judged in the public domain except in a court of competent jurisdiction to be found guilty or not. How can a video be used as evidence against him? Such entrapment!
Hon. Kennedy proved his point right by saying nobody is perfect.
We still await the end results of this matter. Very intriguing the twists and turns of Anas and Nyantakyi.
We perceive a foolish case though.

ROBERT MUGABE: The rise or fall

Zimbabwe and Zanu-PF can not be detached from each other, it is like a married couple whose wedding ring is Robert Mugabe, Sally's death undoubtedly is a blow to the African hero. The man the frowns on imperialists and colonialists imposition on the mind of the African. A Pan-African as such, he abhors racist ideologies of the west on African.

It is indeed true that Robert Mugabe has made many economic mistakes, but mistakes made to protect the image and identify of the African. Certainly his tactics are dictatorial and extremist, truly, his tactics is not different from USA banding American Visa lottery, or sabotaging a communist in America.
Well can we say different from the UK certainly not?

I believe Grace Mugabe was just following the footsteps of Nana Konadu Agyeman Rawlings and it just blew in her face.
The military coup is a necessity and Papa Mugabe must go, I mean resign and be a statesman. If I were a Zimbabwean, my best option will be Emmerson Mnangagwa.

We are not surprised by the derail of the train at Alajo, more of such incidents are looming on the country, moreover the train industry has been left unattended to from successive governments since the era of Sir Gordon Gurgisberg. The intriguing aspect is that, the sector can not generate enough revenue for itself, hitherto, the rails are weak, the sector is poor, the coordinators are not well paid, the spare parts are expensive to purchase and we are refusing to manufacture trains after all the iron ore, manganese, bauxite and many mineral reserves, Kantanka on my mind.
Now the question is we have lost track of time with modern train station technology and techniques and are dependent on old outmoded technology.
No advert, no branding, no investors, no lobbyist and revenue generation mechanism.
We bemoan the government to be strategic and pragmatic in its enterprises.
