What does it take to stand out in today’s job market?
As a proud sponsor of the University of Energy and Natural Resources Career Fair in Sunyani in the Ahafo Region, Newmont engaged students on the skills and mindset needed to thrive in the workplace.
From learning how to use AI tools effectively to building strong networks and growing confidence for interviews, our team shared practical tips students can start applying right away.
We also supported students with CV reviews and mock interviews, giving them the opportunity to learn, improve and gain confidence in real time.
We are proud to support the next generation and help shape the future of Ghana’s workforce.

A better workplace starts with listening and acting.
We’ve successfully commissioned a new, modern female changeroom facility at Ahafo South, designed to provide comfort, dignity, and functionality for our female colleagues.
This upgrade came directly from feedback by our Women and Allies (W&A) Business Resource Group (BRG). We listened, assessed the gaps, and invested in a fit-for-purpose space with expanded capacity, improved lockers, reliable showers, and enhanced lighting and ventilation.
At Newmont, we are committed to creating an environment where everyone feels respected, supported, and able to thrive.
Thank you to the W&A BRG for speaking up, and to the team that made this possible.

Today, we celebrate the women powering our business and shaping the future of mining.
At Newmont, inclusion is more than a value. It guides how we make decisions, shape our culture, and create opportunities for people to thrive.
In Ghana, women represent 24% of our workforce, the highest in the industry. But for us, it’s not just about the numbers. It’s about creating real opportunities, supporting women to grow, and building a workplace where everyone feels they truly belong.
We’re taking steps to make that happen every day. From removing symbols of exclusion to creating practical support like lactation rooms, we are building an environment where women can grow, lead, and thrive.
We believe that when women thrive, our business delivers stronger outcomes and our communities benefit.
Here’s to the women making an impact every day.
We’ll be sharing voices from women across our business throughout the day. Stay with us and be part of the conversation.
