John Armah CEO of Orios Group set to speak at the John Hopkins University
Ghana’s John Armah, Co-founder of Orios Group, has been invited to speak at the Mzuzah Convergence at the John Hopkins University in Baltimore. His topic will share insights into Ghana and Africa’s growing innovations and opportunities.
The convergence hosted at the John Hopkins University Bloomberg School of Public Health will explore Africa’s role in global sustainability, innovation and entrepreneurship development.
Some of the Keynote Speakers are Gregory Simpkins; Senior Advisor, Africa Bureau, Office of Sustainable Development; USAID; Hon Ambassador Baffour Adjei Bawuah, Ghana’s Ambassador USA; Ruben Atekpe, Executive Chairman, Merchants Company of West Africa Ltd – MECOWA Group; Christina Chappell; USAID’s global Health Bureau.
Others scheduled to speak include Alexis Bonnell.Chief Innovation Officer; USAID; Kevin Frick, Professor and Vice Dean for Education at the Carey Business School, Amara Koneh at the World Bank, Fmr. Finance Minister of Liberia and Dr. Dougbeh Chris Nyan, who won the prestigious 2017 African Innovation Award Special Price for Social Impact for developing The Nyan Test a diagnostic test capable of detecting seven 7 infections in an hour.
John Armah, is Chief Executive Officer of Orios Group, a leading venture capital firm that focuses on investments, business advisory, and training for early stage startups. Committed to identifying, training, and supporting scalable impact based African start-ups founded by innovative entrepreneurs. He has been a key advisor to a good number of leading startups in Ghana.

He has been instrumental in the growth of Ghana’s entrepreneurial ecosystem as a pioneer, playing a key role in the training and setting up of some of Ghana’s leading incubators, key role in the setting up of the Youth Enterprise Support Fund, now NEIP, has consulted for various companies across different sectors, including, finance, manufacturing, construction, agribusiness, creative arts among others.
