Congratulations👏👏👏

Ghana proudly marked its debut at the 2026 World Youth Scrabble Championship in Nairobi, Kenya. Six brilliant young minds, presented by the Tarkwa‑based SCRABBLETONgh Foundation and supported by the Gold Fields Ghana Foundation, carried our flag high.

Against more than 300 players from more than 11 countries, the team from Ghana battled through 24 games over three days — and finished an impressive 7th place overall! 🏆👏

This milestone proves that scrabble is more than a game — it’s a tool for education. We celebrate our champions.

Advancing the future of mining through global collaboration and innovation.

Recently, we participated in the 9th UMaT Biennial International Mining and Mineral Conference, held under the theme “Innovation in Mining and Mineral Processing; Expanding the Frontiers of Mining Technology.”

The two‑day event brought together industry leaders and academics from across the globe to share knowledge and explore groundbreaking ideas.

Highlights of the event:

🔹 Over 60 technical and academic papers were presented across six core tracks, including Mining Innovations, Advancements in Minerals Processing, and Environmental Sustainability.

🔹 Panel discussions highlighted emerging technologies, including blockchain, AI drones, and geofencing — all aimed at ensuring end‑to‑end gold traceability and empowering artisanal and small‑scale miners.

🔹 We engaged with stakeholders at our booth and capped the conference by hosting participants to a memorable dinner at our Tarkwa Mine.

At Gold Fields, we believe innovation and collaboration are the keys to shaping a safer, smarter and more sustainable mining future.
