DON'T MARRY A MAN WHO CAN'T PROTECT YOU.
No matter how strong a woman poses to be, she breaks down at times, at things which may seem insignificant to a man. Things that seem nothing to him are the very things that make her shed tears. She is vulnerable, she gets scared, sometimes the fear of losing you, the fear that this cherished memories she shares with you might mean nothing to you someday.
There is so much you don't see on her when you look at her, that is why she needs a man who is sensitive, patient, strong yet down to earth, decisive and yet understanding, a man who won't always be logical but have a soft spot in his heart for her, a man who cares about her feelings.
A man who is her safe place, a man who will constantly assure her of his love for her, stand by her side, a man she can run to when she feels unsafe. A man who will protect her from harm, a man who will help her to overcome her fears.
A man who takes control of things that threaten her peace. Not a man who does not care for her or cannot share her feelings, dreams and fears. Not a man who makes her feel all alone yet claims to be her partner; her love, her man; her husband.
Women feel safe with men who protect them in public; cover her up when she goes wrong in public but make time to correct her when they get home and are alone. Not a man who will shout on her in public because she was wrong in the public, not a man who exposes her to danger because she went against his orders or instructions or made a mistake; but a man who is strong enough to overcome the negative but never fails to correct her in private so she does not repeat that in the future.
You hurt her when you leave her to her fate because she went wrong or made a mistake. His man should be the first person who defends her when he hears rumours or negative news about her even if he has doubts in his mind. You reserve the doubt for her but you don't question her in the midst people, or take others' side.
Don't exercise your power on her by abusing or controlling her. A true powerful man uses his power to protect his woman. Your power is for her safety and not abuse.
He is tall, muscular, he is handsome, he is cute but he is not able to protect her, he is not good for her. He is not her man. Her man uses those qualities to her advantage not against her.
To be her man, always open your mind before you open your mouth, remember who she is to you, before you act towards her or speak to her. If you can do that, you won't shout on her, insult her or abuse her.
When she is wrong, that is a perfect time for you to be right, don't let her down for she trusted you the most, show her more love at unpalatable and unexpected times. Don't treat your lover as wrong as they are or acted towards you but treat them as good as you are.
Your man cannot insult you in front of everyone or in public, not even as joke or by provocation. If the man that you are dating or want to marry does that, he is not the right person for you. He is not your man.
In conclusion "If you are a husband, you should be thoughtful of your wife. Treat her with honor, because she isn't as strong as you are, and she shares with you in the gift of life. Then nothing will stand in the way of your prayers" - 1 Peter 3:7 (CEV).
